Have you heard of Josiah Walls or Hiram Rhodes Revels? How about Joseph Hayne Rainey? If not, youre not alone. I taught history and I never knew half of our nations past until I began to re-educate myself by learning from original source materials, rather than modern textbooks written by progressive Democrats with an agenda.
Interestingly, Democrats have long ago erased these historic figures from our textbooks, only to offer deceitful propaganda and economic enticements in an effort to convince people, especially black Americans, that its the Democrats rather than Republicans who are the true saviors of civil liberties. Luckily, we can still venture back into Americas real historical record to find that facts are stubborn things. Lets take a closer look.

It seems as if all American school books have the “Winston Smith” imprimatur these days.
I’m just sick to death about the liberal lie how the racist democrats suddenly turned and became racist republicans....
You will quickly learn that their tolerance level for such truths is a very short fuse
Aint that the truth
Agree!
Yeah. Whatta joke.
Nuthin’ secret about it. They didn’t call it the Solid South because they were rock ribbed.
Segregation wasn’t just a result of people doing demographic research on zip codes. It was the law, and it was Southern Democrats - the party of Jackson - that did it.
For them to be the standard bearers of civil rights is the most absurd form of political cross dressing in history.
The Democrats are and always have been the Party of Race. Until about 1960, they were the party of White Power and Segregation and brutally suppressed the black vote with their terrorist arm, the KKK. Since the 1960s, they have transformed into the party of non-white power and have new paramilitary arms — Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter and the rest. They are thugs who want power.
It’s only secret because the media refuses to be honest about it.
Harriet Tubman. Republican and gun toter. Coming to a $20 near you soon. Guess the libs didn’t do their homework. But, when do they?
FOUL! Illegal use of ‘media’ and ‘honest’. May not be used in the same sentence.
What’s so “secret” about Democrats history of racism?
They are the people who kept the blacks in slavery in the South on their plantations.
They held all the Slave States governorships and state legislatures through the Slave years and through the separate but equal Jim Crow. Their grip on oppression of blacks didn’t end until the late 1970’s, well after the passage of the Civil Rights Act.
Democrats stood in the doorways of southern universities to personally keep blacks from entering.
And, high ranking Democrats held leadership positions in the KKK until it came into the light of day.
Some “secret” history
It’s only a secret to libtards...
Yup. Mrs rktman made the mistake of commenting to a facebook thing about the KKK by making the simple comment of “You do know the KKK was founded by dems.” Holy hounds of hell were unleashed upon her. She responded to a couple unitl I convinced her she was wasting her time. But, WOW! The hateful comments from assclowns across the country to her was purty sad but showed their intolerance for the truth. Yes, she learned a lesson.
“Original source materials” comprised most of my homeschool studies in history. I enjoyed Annals of America, but some of the other assignments were painful. There were no abridged or modernized versions of the writings of the Founders. Fortunately the teacher-student ratio was 1:1.
“Im just sick to death about the liberal lie how the racist democrats suddenly turned and became racist republicans....”
This interests me as this is the exact response I get from one of my liberal friends when I bring up that his party (Democrats) was the party of slavery and the KKK while the Republicans were the party of Civil Rights. He always responds with “well, they switched sides didn’t they?”
Where does this come from? Is there any supporting data for this view?
