*****So he had rather vote for a Commie????*****

He will ONLY vote for a commie. If Cruz or anyone else was the nominee he’d be making the exact same reasons why he couldn’t vote for a GOP nominee.

“[...] and in many cases, had their candidate personally trashed by him.”

Politics is a full contact sport. If you cannot compete nor take the heat, get out, stay on the sidelines, and stop complaining.

And, don’t forget: the “trashing” went both ways.

“[...] It is a close call in my mind and right now I am leaning towards not voting.”

You sound just as butthurt as Krauthammer.

Opus out and put us out of your sanctimonious misery.

“That’s pretty funny. And drawn and quartered, too! SHAME on him, SHAME for being a conservative luminary for decades and then REFUSING to LOVE The Trump!”

Conservative luminary?!?!?!?

He was a speech writer for Walter Mondale!

“I’m voting for Ted Cruz on the nomination ballot and I’m writing in Ted Cruz on the final ballot: He is the only true
conservative running. Our country is lost, may God help us!”

It people like you and the ineffective “actions” that you take that has put us where we are today.

Opus out and take a hike if that is all you can do.

Has nothing to do with “taking the heat”. Trump has to EARN votes/donations/support from the 60% of the republicans who DID NOT vote for him or he gets crushed by the beast. Wake up.

Given this statement, I think his articles or interviews shouldl be banned here. He’s not a part of the solution, but he has apparently been part of the problem all along.

He makes his living pontificating about how the country's problems should be solved in a "conservative" way. If anybody started actually taking effective action, he would be irrelevant.

What does “earn” mean? Caving in on all the issues and policies he wants to implement?

If you don't know how Trump can earn support from the 60% who voted for other candidates, I cannot help you.

“the GOP is “being led by a non-conservative populist””

Here’s the problem with setting political criteria and then drawing a line in the sand based on that criteria. What does “conservative” mean politically? It means absolutely nothing. McCain, Romney, Bush, Dole, BushI, Reagan, Ford, Nixon, Goldwater.....they all claimed to be “conservative” A definition that includes all those Presidents/candidates can’t possibly mean anything.

What Krauthammer is really saying is that he doesn’t like Trump and won’t vote for him because he predicted he would not get the nomination. He’s butt-hurt. He’s been shown to be a BS-er as a “political pundit” - as most have been. He is one of the legions of party members, lobbyists, pundits, and government officials that will be trudging forlornly out of the beltway when Trump is inaugurated next January.

THAT, and only that is the reason why he and every other GOPe type are opposing Trump - some going as far as to claim to vote for Hillary.

These aren’t Americans. They hold citizenship the fiefdom delineated by the DC beltway. They cannot believe that they will not be “in” anymore - the life change of having to be among the “great unwashed” is stunning to them. They hate America outside of the beltway. They are greedy little wusses - sociopaths - who simply have been used to pontificating (and paid handsomely for it) and being taken seriously. Now that they have been exposed, they cling to some future position of “see I was right after all and you didn’t listen to me”.

So Krauthammer is in good company....”good” from the standpoint of not having the fortitude, foresight, or intellect to connect the dots that we are sick of them. They have been exposed for the shallow, greedy, self-important BS-ers that they always have been.

GFY, and may you be out of favor for a long time.

Those 60percenters will fall in line like every other election.

This freak is seriously lacking when it comes to discernment. After Obama was elected, and before he took office, Kraut said he “wasn’t sure what kind of a president he (Obama) would be.” That was in the context of being eager to meet him at a party George Will was giving in Obama’s honor.

That told me everything I ever needed to know about Krauthammer. EVERYONE knew what kind of a president Obama would be. How did HE miss it? And it told me everything I needed to know about George Will. Really? A dinner “in honor” of Obama?
