That bugs me, too, but you can’t reason with a person who is educated far beyond his/her ability to think........................

And for anyone interested - here's what some of our currency once looked like. Real art work.

The Federal Reserve Board currently issues $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 notes.

Meaning that larger cash transactions have to use a lot more of the resources, the special rag paper and the ink, as well as labor and transportation. Let's sic the enviroweenies on them to reinstate the 500 and 1,000! It's for the children!

When I was in college in the 1980’s me and a few students were discussing the antics of the variously stupid PHD’s and professors on campus and one PHD in particular and a student, a sweet black lady finally just said, “he isn’t anything but an educated fool”.

Looks like these college instructors have been successful in teaching their foolishness and spreading it into the local classrooms. Common core and all the crap from Washington doesn’t do half the damage to public education as the teachers, administrators and boards of education at the local level, your neighbors. A lot of these people are nothing more than communist heathens.

As for the police in this story, really you so stupid you don’t recognize a $2 bill and when you are found wrong don’t have the decency to apologize. Putz...

BTW, Ivy Baker Priest, the Treasurer as shown on the note, was the aunt of Pat Priest who played Marilyn on the Munster

We used to have a tradition of women signing our paper money and I remember Ivy Baker Priest due to her catchy name

Pat's sister Bay Buchanan used to sign our currency

It was my understanding that $1000 bills were used solely for inter-bank transfers and for an individual to possess one would be very rare.

Now of course all inter-bank transfers ate electronic and thus they are superfluous.

Wondering just how true this story is, remember this being posted once in a while over the years:

http://www.snopes.com/business/money/tacobell.asp

My recollection is that school lunch cashiers were the most observant and successful coin collectors, receiving all sorts of odd coins and cash, and would likely be astute enough to swap up for the rarer stuff.

“Something like this happened at Taco Bell in the last few years too. The cashier didn’t think that a $2 was a thing.”

Snopes shot that one down, see my post #96.

I have suspicions about this story, too.
