Ted Cruz lost for lots of reasons and Trump won for lots of reasons, which Limbaugh knows and is deliberately ignoring.
Neal Bush, Carly Fiorina, lying about Trump’s position on immigration, his father being too over the top, Palin and Sessions supporting Trump, Ted being annoying, what he did to Ben Carson, and yes the delegate stealing with the aid of The GOPe, the short lived Kasich partnership, - Limbaugh didn’t see any of that but poor Ted, his family, Lee Harvey Oswald and the Zodiac Killer!

But, yes. The martyrdom of Ted Cruz, the Immaculate Conservative, is now in full swing for Rush. The vicious GOPe crucifiers, by destroying Cruz, have destroyed the possibility of any future immaculate Conservatives as well. Scorched Earth martyrdom.
As for Trump and his sweeping victory? It is merely a flash in the pan, not connected to our country’s advancement and not worthy of discussion.

Rush keeps saying that Trump is not conservative in any way. Where’s the evidence of that? If border control, 2nd Amendment, strong military, etc is not conservative, what is?

He praised Trump when he thought Trump would flame out and not attract support but not before he undermined the establishment candidates. While he killed the establishment, he also killed off Cruz. That was not the plan.

It’s a testament to the effectiveness of our Conservative Entertainment Complex to lull people to sleep rather than an indictment of your intellect. Plus this was while Dubya was launching the second Iraq war and conservatives muted any complaints that they had about him. Around here you risked a zot.
Oh agreed! I’m so tired of the “conservative” label as an excuse to behave in any way that’s counter-conservative. I really wanted to believe that Cruz was the “real deal” but he lost it for me when he sided with BLM and the Chicago riots instead of Pro-1st Amendment. With Trump I’m not expecting a born again Christian or a scholar - I’m expecting a hard-nose-tell-it-like-it-is-and-makes-good-on-all-major-promises. Don’t want a lawyer, don’t want a politician. We’ve had enough of those!
