Ben Carson has a plan for Ted Cruz now that the Texas senator has dropped out of the GOP presidential race: attorney general, then Supreme Court justice under a Trump administration.
When Fox News Radio’s John Gibson asked Carson on Wednesday whether it would be “smart” for presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump to offer Cruz a position on the Supreme Court, he said yes.
“I think he would be terrific on the Supreme Court, or I think he would be a terrific attorney general. Or he could be both,” Carson said. “He could be attorney general first, you know, go ahead and prosecute Hillary, and then go on the Supreme Court.”......

The last thing we need as AG is anyone who is soft on prolife or the 1st, 2nd, or 4th Amendments: and that especially means Christie and even much more so Giuliani
Seriously, the two of them are even worse than Jeb Bush - and not just on those issues either.
What we need now to turn around all the damage to freedom in this nation since 1989, is the conservative constitutional version of Eric Holder - with more drive, zeal, partisanship and even venom - just his 180 degree opposite on principles.
I'm a newcomer to FR and though I have been supporting Trump over Cruz, I think Cruz is EXACTLY what we need now as AG. For that I will support him 100%.
I thoroughly loathe Goldman Sachs, the vampire squid, but as AG, this is the job Cruz was meant for - plus I think he would find it highly therapeutic to work off some frustrations.
As VP, if Trump was smart, put in somebody "THEY" want in office less than he.

No doubt there are plenty of ‘no name’ judges and other people out there who are just as tough and conservative as the popular names endorsed by the FReepers...And a no name would likely have a better chance of getting confirmed in Congress...

CJ, SCOTUS later, after a distinguished career as Special Prosecutor for 3 years, then AG for 3 years, after Christie retires and moves to $2,00,000 a year job on K Street.
Cruz is illegally serving in the senate. Came into the US illegally in 1974. I’ll all come out in the wash. He burned too many bridges in the campaign and I don’t he’ll be reelected in Texas.

Cruz is so smart he tweeted the vile name calling yesterday morning and now has deleted it. But of course it’s all over the internet. Guess he thought if he deleted it no one would remember seeing him come unglued. He seems to forget that he said the same thing at a press conference. He’s a real nutcase that needs to go back to Canada. His political career is dead. Time to start chasing ambulances.

I like Cruz and he’d be a hell of a lot better than Christie. Carson is right about this one.
