Trump is the presumed nominee, and his fiercest critics on the right haven’t budged. Trump is quite distinguished from who he was running against in a number of ways, and he may face a challenge in converting their supporters to his side before November.

A new poll from Morning Consult found...

I am not whining. I am simply trying to get Trump voters to stop driving likely Trump voters away.

As for voting for him I have stated at least twice in this thread that I will vote for him.

...”It does not matter how many votes Cruz received at this point he is not the candidate Trump is. So that means he is the one who must win over the more than 50% of the votes he lost”....

That’s right......Trumps got a ways to go yet to position himself against Hillary ...further he admitted he wasn’t prepared when Cruz bowed out, which showed his people are not on top of things. If he didn’t see that coming, and moreso be already prepared for that, then how’s he going to handle the Clinton Machine????

I just don’t see Trump pulling off all he needs to do for the general election to “prepare”.....he’ not good at that at all...and the general election is a whole nother beast than the primary.

I'm a TEA PARTY MEMBER and write news and send links to TWO different Tea Party news letters.

I'm also a born & bred CONSERVATIVE from NYC ( no, I don't live there anymore ), who can tell you that Trump isn't a "LIBERAL" at all.

You're the one who has gone deaf and blind drinking the poisonous CRUZ-Aide!

I suggest all Cruz supporters who are like YOU, learn to accept that your guy LOST, Trump is the GOP nominee, he can and SHALL beat Hillary, which MUST be ALL of our objectives now! And no, we don't "owe" YOU guys anything. Vote for him or don't and your complaining, now, is fruitless in the extreme!

Trump isn't Romney, he isn't McQueeg, he LOVES this nation and he wants to save it! With all of his money, yes, he could just pack up when the bovine excrement hits the rotary blades, but he doesn't want to do that; he is a patriot!

Trump’s position on fast track.

You look for the larger horses when there’s a fast track. A fast track means the horse can take his maximum stride so length of legs becomes more important.

Yeah McCain and Romney don’t love America.

Only Donald Trump loves America! That I can tell you.

I wasn’t expecting Cruz to drop out either.

Caught me totally by surprise.

As far as is Trump going to be able to win in the general? Dunno. No way for me to know.

What I do know is that I am going to support him all the way. That part I am in control of.

Just because I don’t think much of Trump, for you then to jump to the conclusion I must be, to use your term, “an open-borders guy”—that indeed does not follow.

I hope he does pull off what he needs to win. God help us if he doesnt. I keep picturing where hitlery and that add of “who do you want answering the phone at 3:00AM” in juxtoposition with Bengazi. That is a nightmare right there.

I just dont think Trump supporters realize that he still needs around 12 million GOP voters to match how many dems that have voted this primary. Like was mentioned before the dems that will cross over to vote Trump most likely already have. So that 12 million will have to come from the GOP. And there are about 15 million more who voted other than Trump this primary.

Neither of them had a single plan to build a wall, clean out the waste a fraud in the government and neither McQueeg nor Romney are as Conservative as Trump is.

We all know that you HATE Trump, sans reason, and your irrational posts show just what and who you are.

Yeah McCain and Romney don’t love America.

McCain claimed that no American would ever pick lettuce in Yuma, Arizona for $50/hour. I've tried to contact him to arrange just that for me. No luck at all.

McCain is an open-borders, bought-and-paid-for-by-the-Chamber-of-Commerce, charlatan-conservative POS.

Currently there are 90 million Americans without jobs. How many of them would pick lettuce for $50/hour? My guess is, more than enough!

We need to get our definitions straight. The America that John McCain loves is not the America that American citizens love.

Oh so you just don't like his "TONE"?

This is nothing new; this sniping and name calling...it is as American and apple pie and motherhood, in the course of American political history! Jefferson called Adams a "HERMAPHRODITE", because queer and girlie-man weren't in use back then and he also called him MUCH worse.

The entire WHIG PARTY and its supporters went after Andy Jackson's wife and him, so fiercely, calling then bigamists and her an adulteress, that she died before ever living in the White House.

Prior to 24 hour T.V, news, cable, talk radio, TWITTER, etc., the Dems started a whisper campaign about Maimie Eisenhower being a "closet drunk" that spread like wildfire.

Trump isn't PC, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, and is showing everyone that we don't have to be either.

Trump never called Carly "ugly"!

Ted IS a liar.

And Cruz did far worse things than just label someone; however, I shan't go through that list.

I said, At least Trump is not Hillary. You said, That is all he has going for him.

If you are indeed not an "open-borders guy," then it does not follow for you to have said simply, That is all he has going for him.

What would follow would be, That is all he has going for him, PLUS he wants to secure our borders, as do I!

No it isn't; especially since YOU have such a closed mind, you can't even read a post of mine, or others and understand it/accept it.

DID YOU VOTE FOR ROMNEY ?

DID YOU VOTE FOR MCCAINE?

Is so, why did you "trust" them ?

If you didn't, then I hope that both terms of Obama has brought you and yours a great deal of hurt, pain, and unhappiness.

The rest falls in.

Rest of response self censored for purposes of cutting some slack.

Do not let up my friend.

I am not to concerned with him going after the dems. Have at it. But going after the GOP voters is just not very smart. How many people do you know that will be your friend after you insult them over and over? And how many people can you get to accept your position if you insult them?

Like it or not Trump supporters are going to have to look past the negativity from non Trump supporters if they want to get there vote. It is not up to the non Trump voters to convince themselves to vote for the person they voted
against.

So my point is do your self a favor if you want Trump to win and hold your tongue for a short bit. That to me is not to much to ask when so much is at stake if he losses.

First, no one is driving Cruz voters away, we just aren't going to stand on our heads to get them to do so.

Second, good, then we have no problem.

Thought I might get an insight of any change of views when TRUMP won and their man Cruz exited out.
I listened enough to get their views.
I never liked Beck.
Levin was angry to his callers.
Rush played in the middle but obvious a Cruzoid.
I really think he's out of touch with us.
He analyzed Trump supporters as angry anti-establishment.
NO. We are Just Tired of Lying Politicians raking up votes to turn on US and leave US with the Obama Way because they are Weak. The congress with a republican majority did nothing but look out for their own self interest, complete turn-coats.
Angry ,sure but wise to their lies is the brunt of it. Then along came Trump with his Build A Wall! As they say ...the rest is History and We are living it. Life is good!

I said that’s **about** all he’s got going for him. There were other candidates who wanted to secure the borders, so that’s not a big plus for Trump.

Yes I voted for both and no I did not trust them. I intend to do the same with Trump if he does not win my trust.

It is to bad you think I m closed minded. That is what I am getting from many of the Trump supporters, closed mindedness.

How hard is it to just hold back on insulting people for a little bit? Is it better to insult people that you want to win over to their side or just let it be?

Would it not be better to point out the bad policies of the other side rather than say someone is closed minded, a idiot,or something like that?

In other words use the bad actions and policies of the real threat which is the dems to support Trump. Cruz lost the primary so there is not point in fighting that battle. It will instead harm the real battle at this point which is the election and not the primary.

I am not fighting for Cruz at this point. I am working to get Trump elected and therefore am on your side. It does no good to go after me at this point I am not a threat.

I did not ask any one to stand on their head. Simply have a little more civility and hold back from insults. It is more beneficial in the long run. To me this is a simple thing to do.
