Rubio personifies the open-borders coalition, which directly undermines a central tenet of Trump’s campaign. To add him into the mix would be one of the biggest possible mistakes Trump could make.
If Rubio wants to run for re-election to his own Senate seat, he still has time before the filing deadline.
But he knows Florida is done with him, so he has nothing to offer Trump.
