Exactly. It’s what have advocated for 20 years.
Taxes become voluntary, but only those who pay taxes are allowed to vote.
It would fix many seemingly intractable problems quickly.

There should be many vote multipliers. Veterans should get a 5x voting ballot.

All democracies are doomed the moment legislatures award gifts from the treasury.

From Wiki: The Carboniferous is a geologic period and system that extends from the end of the Devonian Period, at 358.9 ± 0.4 million years ago, to the beginning of the Permian Period, at 298.9 ± 0.15 Ma. The name Carboniferous means "coal-bearing" and derives from the Latin words carbō ("coal") and ferō ("I bear, I carry"), and was coined by geologists William Conybeare and William Phillips in 1822.[5] Based on a study of the British rock

Yes, very important to drive around and get out of San Juan.
It’s a 3rd world nation flying a U.S. flag.

Yes so? That’s what I said it is a Period not an Epoch - different category names for major and minor geologic times (major to minor): Eon, Era, Period, Epoch, Stage - actually the Carboniferous follows immediately after the Late Devonian Extinction in 364,000,000. Second Major Extinction. Toll: 95% of all species - 53% of marine families, 84% of marine genera, 70% of land species.

Yes. Actually Heinlein advocated JUST having veterans vote. I a a vet myself. However, knowing the Dems, they would pull something making it very easy (or even automatic) to become a “vet”.
I like a system where you accumulate voting points for things like paying taxes and/or military service. Short of a System collapse & revolution, that will not happen though.

These nits just happen to be facts without which we are lost - the devil is in the details, words mean things, etc.

The Gods of the Copybook Headings is a poem, not a geology text.

>>Think about it... long retired Teachers, police, firemen... those whose unions have aggressively played the short-term election drivent weaknesses of our elected representatives... would be given opulent pensions for the rest of their lives.
Yes, about two to four times as much as retired military personnel.

So a dope smoking looser who joined the Carter era Army via the guard so he could get free college and then quit at the first sign of trouble gets 5x?
Not everyone who dons a uniform is a hero. In just a short time the liberal remaking of our military will make 5x seem brilliant, to the Dems.

Yes I know and bad poetry using bad references is just lousy writing.

No such thing as the Carboniferous Epoch. That falls under the heading of "poetic license."
