The Arrogance of The Prom King(Paul Ryan)
robertringer.com ^ | May 7, 2016 | Robert Ringer

Posted on 05/09/2016 7:23:45 AM PDT by all the best

Just when you think you’ve heard and seen it all in the Republican campaignathon, along comes prom king Paul Ryan displaying an arrogance that makes Donald Trump look like the Dalai Lama by comparison. Millions of American jaws must have dropped in unison when chameleon Ryan casually told CNN’s Jake Tapper that he’s “just not ready” to support Trump.

Really? Where do I even begin to address such a remarkable display of unflinching arrogance? How about just stating the obvious — that the litmus-test conservative crowd still doesn’t get it.

That’s right, hard as it is to believe, after ten months of watching Trump swat every political fly who’s annoyed him, the pathetic “Never Trump” crowd really and truly still does not understand what’s taking place in America.

Specifically, what they don’t get is that this is a genuine revolution. And it’s not a revolution about Trump. It’s a revolution about the corruption and arrogance of the leadership of the Republican Party — and, on a broader scale, the entire Washington political establishment.

That’s right, it’s taken eight long and destructive years, but the Republican Party’s base is now in full revolt against the Ryans, the McConnells, the McCains, the Grahams, et al. You’d have to be blind, deaf, and stupid — or totally delusional — not to have figured that out by now. Nevertheless, the guys who have run things for decades have chosen to stubbornly remain in a state of denial.

They do not understand that the so-called leadership is not the Republican Party. The Republican Party is the Republican voters. Had party leaders been able to do so, they were fully prepared to ignore the will of their rank-and-file members at the Republican National Convention in July and use their crooked, self-serving rules to get their way.

I don’t think your memory is faulty. We all had some inkling this was the case but I think it was more media and party bullsh!t than anything else.

I had this putz’ number when I saw him in the one and only VP Debate with that letch Biden. Biden walked all over him and Ryan just sat there and took it like a little b!tch.

Some people might have said he had some b@lls. I contend that was only in talking to his own sycophants and mislead supporters [uniformed Republicans]. The real problem is that a “Republican” with b@lls first has to have a spine from which to hang them.

It’s getting to the point where he should take himself out and turn the fight over to a newcomer. I see this all coming to a head with Trump. Our ‘allies’ overseas may be getting the message already. Ryan’s future just may be better with Hillary in the WH. Same with the elites.

If Trump wins he should call for a 100% turnover in congress b4 2010.

The non-actions of Paul Ryan are the reason we HAVE Donald Trump.

Had party leaders been able to do so, they were fully prepared to ignore the will of their rank-and-file members at the Republican National Convention in July and use their crooked, self-serving rules to get their way.

More than a few members of the Republican Establishment (including some FReepers), are of the opinion that the Republican Establishment (consisting of the local, county, and state officials, delegates, plus elected officials) ARE the Republican party, and the rest of us are merely along for the ride, and can go and find another party if we don't like that.

They also feel that convention delegates should be free to vote as they please, rather than as directed by the voters who elected them.

That’s what they all tend to pretend to be, at least to get elected at first in what they hope can become “safe” seats. Look at all the supposed tea party candidates (e.g., Kelly Ayotte) who went as liberal as they perceived their district to require or tolerate, as soon as they got in.

Cruz, too, has actually acted much more in the plutocrat/GOPe interests than his rhetoric suggests. Ryan never really offered much in the way of his supposed trimming of government spending. They are mostly frauds. (If they weren’t, the GOPe would have fought and usually defeated them before they even went onto the ballot.)

That was propaganda, and many people bought it. Ryan was introduced to DC politics and groomed and mentored to push amnesty, cheap labor, bad trade like TPP by Cesar Conda,a powerful Lobbyist/immigration lawyer, the guy who also owns Marco Rubio.

While we are at it, we MUST get Ryan out of congress!

He has a viable challenger.

Great article:

“They also feel that convention delegates should be free to vote as they please, rather than as directed by the voters who elected them.”

From National Review:

“If Trump is still down by ten points or so nationally in mid-July, traditionally red states are turning purple, purple states are turning deep blue… why shouldn’t the delegates alter the rules and choose a new nominee? Why are they obligated to ratify a landslide loss?”

Read more at: http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/435141/now-until-july-18-trump-tryout

Not sure why anyone would WANT to “read more”. I supported Cruz, but does anyone want to guess what would happen to the GOP if they decided on the first day of the convention to “unbind” all the delegates so Jeb! could become the nominee?

Perhaps Ryan doesn’t consider Trump’s proposals like raising taxes all that conservative? Just because Trump want’s something, doesn’t mean that something is conservative.
