Wealthy Cruz and Bush Donors Dump Millions Into Hillary Clinton’s Campaign
Gateway Pundit ^ | 5/9/2016 | Jim Hoft

Renaissance Technologies, a hedge fund founded by billionaire James Simons, donated over $13 million to Sen. Ted Cruz’s failed presidential campaign. For a guy who’s supposed to be pretty smart with his money, the ROI on that one has got to sting. Nevertheless, now that Mr. Cruz is out of the race, Mr. Simons has begun pouring millions of dollars into Hillary Clinton‘s campaign, with Renaissance Technologies donating over $2 million to Ms. Clinton so far this election cycle. Euclidean Capital—also owned by Mr. Simons—has given the Clinton campaign over $7 million in contributions, and such figures are likely to increase as Ms. Clinton slowly transitions her attention from Democratic Primary opponent Bernie Sanders to the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

“1.3% of their (minimum) wealth and 0.05%.” 0.05%? Is your math right?

Math is right, fingers were wrong. :) 1.3% vs 0.005%.... 13 million divided by 1 billion versus 50,000 divided by 1 billion. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sprink, day after day after day, for literally ten months you folks dumped everything you could on the forum trying to destroy Trump.

It’s over.

At the same time you’re still doing it, you also flop out the idea we need you.

We don’t need what you folks are doing.

Hillary needs it.

I’ve never seen anything like it. I will never see anything like it again.

Trump outed everyone. It’s incredible what he accomplished.

Some folks were still buying the idea the Republican party was different than the Democrat party last year.

Hardly anyone does any longer. And those that do here, are Cruz folks. They just don’t get it.

1.3% vs .005% That’s a huge difference, especially for billionaires.

How does this strike you?

Tell me about Trump donating to Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign, Al Sharpton, etc. I suppose that’s different?

It struck me and others as a way of saying Trump donating to the list of Dems & DSC and also to Republicans was equivalent to Cruz's multi millionaire donors ($13M) shifting their multimillion$ donations to Clinton.

Trump was donating small sums to keep all his connections alive, the other individual is trying to buy political control to subvert American interests.

Suggesting Trump was doing the same thing is insulting and inflammatory and the comparison also suggests that the bankrolling of two such contrasting candidates by the same donor gives us no information about his purpose. Kind of like throwing a cat among the pigeons and complaining when feathers fly. Additionally the ground about Trump's donations has been covered many times on the board so your question seems deliberately disingenuous to some. Thank you for the chance for an honest & open discourse.

Why don’t you quote me where I at any time attempted to destroy Trump?

“I will argue my point with anyone, but when the thread is done
I will start off fresh with you on another, no ill will carried over”

I don’t recall us ever conversing previous to this. I’m okay with someone disagreeing with me. I’m open to another point of view. I’m a pretty black and white kind of person. No need to be a jerk to someone you disagree with.

The Difference is he wasn’t a politician, he was a businessman. Also he did not donate millions to people like Clinton.

I couldn’t do it. I could probably never be a successful businessman of this scale. I personally don’t see the difference between donating supposedly small amounts to democrats and large amounts to democrats. Supporting a dem is supporting a dem. Trumps donations weren’t just small amounts to local dems though, it’s been hundreds of thousands to national democratic organizations including the democratic senatorial fund and the clinton foundation. I just couldn’t do it. Everything we here have fought against that the Clintons have pulled, to donate one thin dime to them would be hugely unacceptable.

I accept that Trump has to be our guy now, and I will vote for him, but he’s a politician and I remember what politicians have told us and then actually done. I would rather be pleasantly surprised than blindly accept what I am told. And I’m not afraid of saying something when I see something that’s not exactly genuine.

Hundreds of thousands to democrats is no small amount. The guy we’re talking about in the article isn’t a politician either.

Another post where you aren’t really going after Trump.

LOL. You just can’t help yourself can you.

You have 22,500 employees whose homes are on the line, your billion dollar business is on the line, and you have national and international problems you’ll need to deal with, but you can’t imagine paying out something less than a penny to you and I, for access.

He also paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republicans.

That didn’t make him a Conservative, but donating to the Clintons made him a Leftist.

LOL

I’m still waiting for you to provide anything Trump received that was off color or illegal for that donation to Hillary.

I think I agree with many of your sentiments except I don’t think Trump is a politician. He’s much too blunt and doesn’t do polls to see which way the wind is blowing before he takes a position. Trump is the original WYSIWYG, a pragmatist, a businessman, a patriot. I think he will do his damnedest to keep his promises to the American people.

I am at the point where I drop Liberal friends, Liberal in fact is the worst curse word in my vocabulary but Trump’s donations over the years which tally at $450K D & 850K R since 1995 gave significantly more benefit to conservative causes than Democrats so I give the whole issue a wash.

I find it hard to be holier than thou, I tip my daughter’s doormen and super every Christmas so they will look after her. I slip tips for service here & there. I don’t ask their politics or anguish about whether others who don’t tip get less service. I leave it to the people involved. I see Trump’s donations prior to 2011 in that light.

Since 1989 Trump has donated $961,140 to Republicans and $584,850 to Democrats, both local and federal.

That is, on average $41,698 dollars per year for all political donations. If you want to call him a cheapskate I'm with ya, but don't get your panties in a wad about his supporting Democrats in large amounts. He likely donated to local and national democrats as a necessity for doing business. I've done it myself except on a much smaller scale at the county level. It is a fact of doing business.

You are reading what you want and ignoring the rest. Telling ALL of the truth and not just part of it is not trying to destroy someone, it’s just telling the truth. I never called him a liberal, I never called him a conservative. Did he contribute hundreds of thousands to democrats? Yep. Did he contribute hundreds of thousands to republicans? Yep. Have I said anything that is false or just stuff you don’t like?
