Wealthy Cruz and Bush Donors Dump Millions Into Hillary Clinton’s Campaign
Gateway Pundit ^ | 5/9/2016 | Jim Hoft

Renaissance Technologies, a hedge fund founded by billionaire James Simons, donated over $13 million to Sen. Ted Cruz’s failed presidential campaign. For a guy who’s supposed to be pretty smart with his money, the ROI on that one has got to sting. Nevertheless, now that Mr. Cruz is out of the race, Mr. Simons has begun pouring millions of dollars into Hillary Clinton‘s campaign, with Renaissance Technologies donating over $2 million to Ms. Clinton so far this election cycle. Euclidean Capital—also owned by Mr. Simons—has given the Clinton campaign over $7 million in contributions, and such figures are likely to increase as Ms. Clinton slowly transitions her attention from Democratic Primary opponent Bernie Sanders to the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

Absolutely. It’s an investment by the donors, the return on their investment is hard to beat.

It’s the receivers, the pols, who are taking these bribes, who are the reason for this mess.

Politicians = Bought. Owned.

American People = impoverished, “played”, enslaved.

What to do...............

The Cathy family pays no “protection money,” yet thier business continues to thrive. In fact, it surged when they stood for thier principles instead of paying people off. I’d have to research it, but I believe David Green doesn’t pay “protection money” either.

If we can’t critique Trump, both Free Republic and our free republic will crumble.

The billionaire is a Jew. What a shock.

What exactly are you trying to say with that statement?

It seems like it could be construed as anti-Semitic...

Vote Trump!

It’s fair to trot out my comments on my home page. I defend your tactic of doing it.

Folks, as supporters of Trump, what do you folks think we have a right to expect now that Cruz has dropped out?

We have a right to have some reasoned expectation that the Cruz folks will either fall in line behind Trump, or at least remain silent as Trump consolidates power.

Otherwise we wind up with Hillary Clinton.

So yes, I try to be long-suffering with my fellow man. I spent months trying to make sense to the supporters of a man I know couldn’t get the nomination.

The thanks I get for it, is to now be treated to the same criticisms that were hurled during the heat of the campaign.

At what point do the Cruz folks show restraint? And lacking any restraint, some of us have had it.

Is one thing to be called to reason, but when folks are still instigating trouble here, what reasoned expectation is there that they will be treated nicely.

They don’t treat the others nicely.

Sounds to me like they were hoping to get Cruz on the ticket because they knew he would lose to Hitlery.

They fear Trump.

http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2011/02/donald-trumps-donations-to-democrats/

Trump’s donations were equally divided between R & D until 2011 when the balance changed to become almost exclusively R.

As of 2011 the sums of money to each of the 96 candidates Trump supported maxed at 25K to Rangel, McCain 13K, Lautenburg 12K, Reid at the 4th highest got 10.4K total. $170,000 to the Republican Governor’s Association, $50,000 to the ultra-conservative American Crossroads PAC, $30,400 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee. DNC 116K.

Since 2012, Trump has donated $463,450 to Republicans and just $3,500 to Democrats (California Attorney General Kamala Harris and New York Assemblyman Michael Benedetto). (via politifact)

If you can’t see the difference between the millions of dollars Cruz’s major backers gave him/and are giving Clinton and the av 2-4K Trump donated to politicians you are willingly blind.

Certainly, these donors now supporting Hillary is a real revelation to me. This tells me that the donors can get what they want from Cruz or Hillary. There is something wrong with this equation that does not serve Main Street.

“You have got to calm down.”
Roos_girl

Have you noticed, Doughty, that it’s usually the ones who piss us off that turn around and urge us to `calm down’?

The article is about former Cruz supporters and Yeb supporters who are now .... supporting Hillary Clinton.

It’s completely indefensible, yet here they are somehow trying to defend this reprehensible act—by Republicans—by attacking Trump.
It’s incredible as well, enough to make a murder of crows blush.

I’m sorry, where did I say I was NeverTrump? People can’t see the damn forest for the trees.

THIS is why I don’t comment much. I love the articles and most of the comments, but some people just read and believe what they want without bothering to try understand anything other than what they want to. If someone dare disagree or have a different point of view some people just become unhinged. There are things I like and don’t like about Trump and Cruz. I understand why other people have things they like and don’t like about both of them. People need to get a damn grip; telling someone to leave because they don’t agree with everything you do? Preposterous.

It was just business.

And for years those who disagreed swore that Trump supported Hillary’s policies and would never run against her.

10 to 6 months ago, folks were still saying Trump was going to clean house, drop out, and Hillary would win.

Trump is effectively ending Hillary’s public life, but folks are still trying to claim his donations to her meant he supported her ideologically.

Take a look at Trump’s platform. Do you see Hillary Clinton in there anywhere?

Sooner or later, you folk are going to have to admit you simply didn’t get it.

Evidently it’s still to early...

It appears that some rich people deserve a traitor’s fate.

Donald Trump donated to Hillary too. Does he deserve the same fate?

Its true, when you have spent weeks laying out the analysis of the common attacks, linking the facts, and why the attacks are without merit to have someone bring them up again like they are fresh and new is galling.

Also the act of bringing them up seems motivated to weaken the presumptive nominee and excuse backers who are funding Hillary Clinton! That doesn’t fly with me.

What you say is exactly right.

I have stayed off this forum for a week or so. I came back to find the same -—holes saying the same things they did for ten months.

They know those tactics didn’t work, but they are going to do it now even when the only thing it could do is help Hillary.

The blinders are off folks. We see what you are doing. It isn’t to help Conservatism.

Hillary shouldn’t expect support here, and I’ll be the first to say I’m not going to stand idly by and watch her get it.

Another county heard from. She was senator from NY. Do you know how much he actually donated? 7.8K (2002,2005,2006 combined)

I didn't say you were "NeverTrump". I said IF you were, please leave.

However, you trying to conflate Trump donating modest amounts to Hillary with these guys donating millions is disingenuous, at best. It seems rather nit-picky considering the enormous difference in magnitude, and also given the fact that Trump no longer supports Hillary with any amount of money.

Vote Trump!
