Outstanding find Su-30!
I believe PD drove the F-16N for a little bit. But he’s long, long gone by now and will probably never see this.
Excellent article!

Great stuff even for a multi-engine guy. Fortunate to have gone through AF UPT while the T-38 was still a fairly new aircraft and very enjoyable to fly. There is no greater joy than three dimensional situational awareness at high speed while accomlishing multiple tasks in an airplane. Even after retirement, it is the stuff of brain exercise that can keep one young and alert, even when one isn’t young, except at heart.
You’re lucky.
Most of us Old Farts have to rely on crossword puzzles and shuffleboard.
That was a great read! Thank you for posting the full text!
My Manager left my company to become the VP of Quality for the F-111 at GD and served there during the development of the F-16. A later co-worker went to GD as Director of Assembly Quality during the F-16 builds and was given a flight in a two seater. ...I’ve got to send this to him.
I can't believe it has been that long. I think of him often...when I needed his input on a thread, I used to post this graphic to him...:)
Wow. What a great article. Brings back memories of when I was a Baron (aggressor) controller for the F-15 FOT&E at Luke AFB and Topgun came over from Miramar. Wish I was back there now.
Hopefully he’s at least enjoyed many a good slice of pie.
Ah...they ain’t real pilots! Or maybe I’m just jealous. Probably the latter. I flew UH-1s, OH-58s, and UH-60s for 20 years. Usually less than 200 feet in the air. But yeah, pretty slow. I was always excited the few times I exceeded 160 knots in my Blackhawk...
