Ted Cruz is not releasing his delegates before the GOP convention
CNN ^ | 5/10/2016 | Theodore Scleifer

Ted Cruz is not releasing his delegates in at least three states, a sign he may hold onto some clout at this summer's Republican National Convention.

Cruz sent a letter to Republican state parties in at least Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas on Monday informing them that he plans to keep the delegates he won bound to him...

Trump is the presumptive nominee and is on a path to clinch the 1,237 delegates needed to earn it on the first ballot, but holding on to his delegates could help Cruz exercise at least some control over convention rules and procedures.

Let us pray this attempt in the name of conservatism is stopped with the ‘natural born’ Cuban Canadian. We must protect our Constitution since the cult of faux conservatives are hell bent on destroying it.

I’ve always considered myself a conservative, but now i decry the use of the term. it has absolutely lost all meaning with the political sluts who claim to be conservative, but in fact, are not.

I hear you... However, presently I am more of the mind to expose the fakes... who have used and abuse the ‘word’ for their own self serving purposes.

I totally agree. They must be exposed over and over and over again. Eventually it just might sink in.

I have never said I wasn’t educated.

I didn't say you weren't. You said that anyone accepting Cruz as Natural Born wasn't educated. Judges are typically educated.

Educated people both in the formal and practical sense can come to different conclusions than you have on this issue. It doesn't make them uneducated. You can make your case without throwing insults at people.

Since the Tea Party backed Cruz, i think the Texas Tea party needs some shaking up!

I think the Tea Party's purpose is to get new blood elected who will work to undo the damage done by previously elected officials. It's difficult to tell who will or won't pan out. If we elect a "dud", it's incumbent upon us to replace them, too.

For over 200 years the consensus on Natural born Citizen stood that one had to be born on the soil of two American citizen parents. Only since McCain and Obama has the rule come into question. Now, it seems, only the modern liberals are to be listened to. Well for your information, the constitution hasn’t changed.

Sure it has. There are Amendments.

That is a cliche, not a reasoned response.

A diversion tactic. Good try but no cigar. We were talking about Natural Born citizen and there is no amendment encompassing it. Compris?

No. You are the one changing the subject. You said no one who was educated could believe that Cruz was NBC for purposes of the Constitution. I demonstrated that educated people do hold it. That is the risk you take when you usr insults instead of arguments, but hey if the shoe fits, I suppose.

Congratulations on Trump’s wins in NE and WV. We can both support Trump without ripping Cruz.

I rip Cruz on a number of things. He is a lying phony for running for president when he knew by his own admission that he was not eligible. His votes diminishing if not eliminating American Sovereignty show he is a lying phony for claiming to be a conservative. He is a bought and paid for Globalist. Nothing will change my mind. I hope the people of Texas vote him out as he is not fit to serve.
Until we learn to expel the unfit, we will never be able to clean out the scum destroying our country. We also need a law against anything over 10% of lawyers in government. Far too many in Washington. That is why nothing gets done!

Well, then I guess there's not much point having a discussion. Cruz has been noted to be fervently anti-Communist (the ultimate globalists) since his freshman year in college at least by his college roommate who is a lefty who despises Cruz like you do, but for different reasons.

You better let Sen. Mike Lee know how far left Cruz is, unless he's in on it too.

“Nothing gets done” is the biggest myth about D.C. A whole lot gets done. A whole lot of taxing and a whole lot of spending. That’s why we’re trillions in debt. The government is doing way, way too much, and much more than it can afford to do.

Ted Cruz will be reelected in a landslide because he has represented the conservative values of Texas thoroughly and faithfully. If you can’t see that obvious truth, then you are blinded to the truth by severe irrationality.

Cruz is completely eligible because he was a citizen from the moment of birth. Only irrational fanatics with ulterior motives try to pretend otherwise, the same kind of people who outrageously claim he’s not conservative and want him primaried out of his Senate seat. You are fighting against conservative values and should be counted as a political enemy by any good conservative.

At a time when Cruz feels seriously unfriended, perhaps he thinks those delegates have to like him.
