Ted Cruz supporters, and I am one, have a decision to make. My story on this decision starts on May 20, 2014, the night I had the great good fortune to attend a small dinner with Sen. Ted Cruz, to talk strategy and policy. Personally, I was skeptical of him and his chances in a potential presidential bid, which fluttered over the entire conversation like a smart, subtle butterfly.

HOPEFULLY, their Derangement Syndrome might die down in the event of a Trump victory, and we can all hold his feet to the Constitutional fire during his tenure... but I won't hold my breath. The blind devotion (based on nothing) around here has been shocking.
Trump and Clinton alternatives on the same menu.
Trump was extremely ugly to Cruz, largely for no good reason or truthfulness ( there are some exceptions).
I would expect a long time is needed to heal those injuries if they can ever be healed.
I am not particularly optimistic.
Apparently you have amnesia. The primary brawl was a two way deal. Cruz was just as “ugly” as Trump. Even worse actually. Trump never personally attacked Cruz supporters like Cruz shamefully did to Trumpers on more than one occasion.
Frankly, I can see no reason for the millions of Trump “low info” supporters to ever support Ted Cruz again. That will include 5 million Texans in November, BTW.

NYC with the exception of Staten Island won’t. Even Staten Island would have stayed home if Cruz was the nominee! I’m sure the rest of the state will go for Trump.

On second thought, I should say it was the New York values remark. Ted doesn’t know how to endear himself to voters, sadly.
I wish the November ballot had a none-of-the-above line on the presidential line. After Hillary and Trump get through dragging each other through the mud for 3 months, it might be hard to find anyone who really likes either person. The none-of-the-above line would win in a landslide.
First among those principles is to defend the Constitution. Support of a Constitutionally ineligible candidate is hardly a Conservative principle.

As far as Trump choosing Corker as his running mate - that’s just nuts. That’s not even remotely likely, though it is a nice bit of misdirection.
Now, do you care to explain why Ted voted for Corker’s amendment?

It was Carson’s campaign manager who released the message that Carson was leaving Iowa early and that he would not campaign in New Hampshire. Not only the Cruz campaign, but also the Rubio campaign and more than a few news outlets concluded that Carson was dropping out
I agree. That has always been a. Silly canard....btw not only Cruz and Rubio people were saying he was dropping out...the trump people were too.
Crux people pushed the dropping out the hardest but everyone said the same. It was the only conclusion to draw.
I admittedly have my doubts about Cruz’s bona fides now, but if you look back all the way to his time as Texas Solicitor General from 2003 to 2008, you’ll find that he has consistently pursued direct and indirect involvement in legal issues from a constitutional perspective. You and I may not think he’s presidential material, but we can’t take that away from him.
