AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he's not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that's Rush, for those in Rio Linda), the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back - just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America's anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do - host. Get ready to what you were born to do - listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.

You are the only one here with a severe case of Cruz butt hurt. The appropriate placement of the question should be toward yourself. “Trump is now the GOP nominee. Will YOU vote 3rd party?”

I don’t have Laura Ingraham in this market, but have found some interesting radio alternatives to Rush.

- Dennis Prager (also not a Trump fan, but his show tends to focus on issues of cultural rot and decay)

- A very good, veteran local sports talk host. The last of the old breed who does not actually insult his callers.

- A left-wing show run by a bunch of union organizers, which is hilariously entertaining in it’s delusion.

- A couple of really cool little AM stations playing oldies.

I know. Trump never called Carly a “horse face”. Not that I’ve ever heard anywhere in the media. Rush was pretty good yesterday, we’ve got one of Rush’s other personalities today apparently.

“Rush actually sounds jealous of Trump.”

Yep. I’ve noticed that too for some time now.

Maybe he fantasizes that “It could have been me!!”

Of course that would have required him not to have his snout securely jammed up the GOPe rump, but he’s entitled to dream.

NOTE TO RUSH:

Please let us know how much your audience has declined when you’ve alienated all of your Trump supporting listeners. There won’t be enough of your fellow Cruzers to make up the difference. DON’T DOUBT US!

Hey Flush Limbaugh, George Bush presented Hillary with an award, Barbara Bush said Bill Clinton is like a member of the Bush family.

RUSHwhen do you support the Republican nominee and stop calling Trump supporters names?

I know you lurk here.

Did you hear Rush yesterday? He was actually pretty conciliatory toward Trump and genuinely excited about those new Quinnipiac polls showing Trump very competitive with Hillary in OH, FL and PA.

He sounds quite angry and bitter today, wow. I wonder what's going on with him.

I highly doubt Rush will vote for Hillary, however it wouldn't surprise me if he stayed home in November.

Great... We're going to need every Trump vote in Florida.

I jumped the gun there a bit. For some reason I had forgotten about Bob Grant and just found out that Bob had actually come after Joe Pyne. I had not realized (stupidly) that Joe had been on radio before his TV gig.

All that aside, calling Rush “the father of conservative talk radio” just doesn’t ring true when one checks its history. Rush stands atop the shoulders of many fine conservative talk radio hosts.

Maybe WE are mad because we never realized how far up there his snout was jammed. I am getting angrier and angrier, mostly at myself for wasting so much time listening to him.

It could have been. He could have stepped to the plate and said "I'll personally take down Bill Clinton in '96!" He was at the height of his popularity and could have done it, sparing us what was to come.

Looking back he obviously feared personal scandal involving women, drugs or somesuch.

Looks like Rush will not be invited to Trump’s inauguration parties. He can kiss the Lincoln bedroom goodbye.

-- Hillary is going to use Limbaugh and Levin soundbites in her ads bashing Trump. --

Cruz used Limbaugh soundbites and claimed that Limbaugh endorsed him. I don't know if Limbaugh ever disavowed that, you know, on the premise that he never endorses during the primary season.

I don't think the conventional approaches to attach taint to a candidate work in Trump's case. Those approaches will work against others, they aren't "dead forever."

A Trump v. Limbaugh battle would be entertaining as all getout. We may see that before this is over. Not as an opponent, obviously, but as a member of the press.

I'm guessing Belize. They speak English, and apparently will leave you pretty much alone if you bring your money into the country. Lots of uber-rich have apparently bought down there.

Not a smart move as Guatemala claims the entire country is a province that was stolen from them. One of these days they may just try and take it back.

Limbaugh did talk about the Quinnipiac polls, yesterday. I just happened to be on a routine shopping trip, and heard that segment. Struck me as a good anti-Hillary segment.

I posted yesterday about how I had stopped listening since late February because of his anti Trump, pro Cruz nonsense. I finally listened for about an hour in the middle of his show yesterday, thought he had softened it up a bit.

Today, he's showing his crazy side again, crazy in he's clearly trying to hurt the presumed nominee, a thing he said he would never do, and didn't do with Romney or McCain. I'm going to try a bit after the one o'clock news, I give him ten minutes to grow up, or I'm going to shut him off for another couple of months again.

I got along without listening for one minute for two and a half months. I hoped he would realize how foolish he was being.

There is another approach. Not sure if it is a correct conclusion, but it does keep the pressure way down, and actually puts a smile on my lips often.

The people who listen to Rush either do so to hear a little support for their way of thinking, an airing out if you will, or are simply looking (listening) for additional reasons to put hate on him and anything he espouses or supports.

So...

Think of this as a triple reverse operation chaos, where by he is bad rapping the presumptive nominee because he wants libs to realize even rush hates the Donald, so D. Trump must have liberal redeeming qualities, and causes them to actually give D. Trump a thought.

Trump supporters on the other hand will not be negatively swayed by anything Rush has to say.

In this light, many of the chameleon color changes are not so bad.

That’s good. I know you can listen to Laura Ingraham and others online. I can’t always listen via computer, iPhone, iPad, etc. I’m usually moving around a lot between 12 and 3pm... Not sitting at a computer. Wish there were more choices on AM radio in my market. No Dennis Prager here.
