Yep - many years ago, a "joker" threw a pumpkin off a bridge in the Rochester, NY area. It didn't hit the driver of the station wagon but it did go through the windshield and ext the rear window with the car going 55 MPH. Would have taken her head off if it had hit her side of the windshield.
Once we were hit with a cinder block upon arrival in Trenton. It was swung from a bridge on a rope! It missed engineer’s windshield, I screamed “Tony, look out!”, hit the floor, nearly breaking my nose! Tony never flinched, controlling train into station smoothly. It was last week on the job, retiring after 50 years. To think stupid kids nearly took him out.
Low cost jihad.
