The federal government should leave sexual regulation of the nation’s K-12 bathrooms and locker rooms to state and local governments, Donald Trump said in multiple interviews Friday.
“I believe it should be states’ rights and I think the states should make the decision, they’re more capable of making the decision,” Trump told the audience for ABC’s Good Morning America.
When pressed, he repeated his pro-federalism policy: “I just think it should be states’ rights. I think many things actually should be states’ rights, but this is a perfect example of it.”
The candidate was asked about bathrooms because of President Barack Obama’s Friday decree that the nation’s 100,000 public schools open their bathrooms and locker rooms to kids of both sexes

I heard this interview, and Breitbart left out one detail of Trump’s response:
“It’s a new issue and right now I just don’t have an opinion, but what I would like to do is see the states make that decision.”

State’s rights? I don’t even see that. Leave it up to those that are paying the bills.
Personally, I find the concept of a MENS v. LADIES room quite easy to follow/understand...it’s based on one’s SEX; NOT something that one can change, let alone on a whim.
Target wants to trans, let have ‘em. Then, they can handle the lawsuits that go with the fiasco.
Govt facilities? Let the legislature decide.

Glad he’s taking this stance on this issue, but he’s waffling by saying “I believe” and “I think it should be.”
He “should be” pointing out that Obama and his DOJ are in direct violation of the US Constitution, namely the Tenth Amendment, on this and so many other issues.
Actions taken or policies enacted by the Executive branch CANNOT be based on the POTUS’s opinions or beliefs. His policies are either Constitutional, or not.
Trump needs to study up.

Trump is running for federal office, and knows full well that, per the constitution, the feds have a limited area of responsibility...
he is reiterating that fact, and advocates stripping the feds of the powers that it has egregiously aggrandized to itself over the years...
thus he said what he did; the “I haven’t an opinion” means that he wants the feds out of the issue and leave it to someone else, i.e. the individual States.

I'll make this simple: I don't think doctors should be allowed to sexually mutilate other human beings, including not being allowed to inject them with the hormones of the opposite sex, surgically alter the private parts of genetically normal males or females (XY or XX), or alter breast contours for purposes of opposite-sex impersonation.
In view of the fact that Jenner has kept his male bits, if he had been prevented by law from receiving female hormones, he would feel a lot less convincing in women's clothes and a lot more comfortable in the urinal room, and so would everyone else.
If this lunatic "gender" theory were not inducing people to believe complete nonsense, such as that it's possible to change one's sex (it isn't; DNA is permanent), then the rest of the nonsense like dressing as the opposite sex and states changing people's birth records or driver's licenses would not exist, either. So Bruce would not be acting out as a female, but would probably be seeking intensive therapy for his delusion.
All of this horrible stuff about bathrooms is a diversion
