While some Americans appear to be confused over the differences between a man and a woman, Megyn Kelly has eliminated any confusion about where she stands on the issue.
Kelly had Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick on Friday’s show to discuss the Obama administration‘s directive informing schools that they “must allow transgender students access to such facilities consistent with their gender identity,” and the Fox News host’s disdain could not have been more obvious.
Kelly was uncharacteristically rude and disrespectful to the Texas Republican, eventually cutting away from him in mid-sentence. In particular, she seemed to take exception to Patrick’s charge the directive would “allow men in ladies rooms.”
“Allow men in the ladies’ rooms or allow trans women in the ladies’ rooms?” she asked.
Never mind that “trans women” ARE men from a biological standpoint.
Patrick tried to explain that the directive creates “a great loophole for all the sexual predators and sex offenders,” but Kelly opted to take on the unenviable task of defending sex offenders.
“A lot of sex offenders are men who molest men, who molest boys,” she countered. “Why is there an assumption that they need to sneak in the girls room?”
Her guest tried to emphasize the concern over a young girl being in the same facility as a “30-year-old man,” but Kelly stood firm.
“But what if that man looks like a woman? And she would never know,” Kelly interjected.
“Megyn, you’re missing this,” Patrick replied.
“I don’t think I’m missing anything,” she said condescendingly.
Patrick spoke out earlier in the day against the White House directive critics say contains an implicit threat that schools could face lawsuits or the loss of federal funds if they do not abide.
“Well, in Texas, [President Barack Obama] can keep his 30 pieces of silver,” he told reporters. “We will not yield to blackmail from the president of the United States.”
He went on to say Texas will not comply and that this was “the biggest issue facing families and schools in America since prayer was taken out of public schools.”
I used to think she was a smart woman.

Why all this incense now and not decades ago when homosexuality was first running rampant? Isn’t it a little late? It sounds like people are willing to be self centered until FINALLY the “thing” knocks on their door. And then the late reacting people will be called, of course, on being self centered.
No need, here is from GLAAD, please scroll down to where they discuss that a transgender’s sexual identity is COMPLETELY separate from their sexual orientation. They use the example of a woman who becomes a man but is then a “gay man” because they are still attracted to men. They state that sexual attraction stays the same just like they claim sexual identity does.

No. This all came about because the super liberal mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina and her friend (who it turns out is a registered sex offender) pushed their city council to pass an ordinance to allow men into women's rooms. The state legislature over ruled the ordinance.
It was an attempt by the liberal democrats to embarrass the majority republican legislature.
Exactly....what about HER children and how does she feel about HER children in the ladies/mens room w/o supervision. Be it her son or her daughter. Is she raising these munchkins properly?
Kind of like how it’s too late when the argument is about abortion; our ancestors understood that the real argument is about sex outside of holy matrimony.
No matter what they think they are, no matter who they are attracted to, men and women will always have different sexual drives.
This shouldn’t be controversial or uncharitable. It’s just fact, by every measure of observable reality.
