Nebraska GOP Convention Humiliates Ben Sasse with Crushing 400 to 8 Reprimand
Breitbart ^ | May 15, 2016 | Michael Patrick Leahy

It was a huge hometown comeuppance for the young Nebraska senator who easily won his first political race in 2014.

Though the former official in the George W. Bush Department of Health and Human Services has been popular in his home state until Saturday, the utter rejection of the “Never Trump” efforts he has championed is sure to hurt his credibility with GOP voters in Nebraska.

His strongly conservative voting record on all matters except trade, where Trump is strongest, kept people from even speculating about a primary challenge when he runs for re-election in 2020. But now — with his “Never Trump” effort becoming a hugely unpopular misstep back home — that clear path to renomination may be in question...

This jack ass was the leader of the anti republican third party movement. He is finished politically. He has no accomplishment but trying to elevate himself by attacking the greatest American since George Washington. I never heard of this nobody— what a joke. Get lost.

The nearest I can figure out is that he was president of a college run by the ELCA before being elected to the U.S. Senate. He's a good Lutheran, but does not tow the ELCA party line on most issues, where he is a good conservative.

The notable exception seems to be open borders where the ELCA is infamous for importing lots of Somali Muslims into Minnesota.

Well, the Repubs have learned from the DemocRATS that if you want to keep your people in line, all you have to do is threaten to stop funding their next campaign.

Simple .. bribery .. works every time.

Probably not mentally ill or a substance abuser, just used to be in the Bush Administration.

From September 1994 to November 1995, Sasse worked as an associate consultant at the management consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group.

Management consulting
Recruited by several firms, Romney joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), reasoning that working as a management consultant for a variety of companies would better prepare him for a future position as a chief executive.[54][57][nb 8] Part of a 1970s wave of top graduates who chose to go into consulting .....

Sasse has already forgotten who he works for. They need to vote him out next time.

Good to see. Anyone standing with GOPe against Trump, or still standing with Cruz, or whatever should get the same rejection.

The problem is that so many of these *sses think it's okay to appease the voting fodder by voting conservative except for stopping the invasion of the US and US jobs for US workers. With their traitorous view, we won't have a nation much longer, so all the other Constitutional Conservative issues are being lost, too. The laws they have to vote for in order to stay in DC? It doesn't matter. They vote, and then our sold-out Judiciary overturns those laws.

It looks like Sasse went to DC with one purpose in mind.....to be part of the scam. He certainly didn't campaign in favor of the invasion of the US. Until the wrath of the voters happened, he was ready to be part of a coup to get hillary elected! (what else can it be called?)

THe same could be said of Ted Cruz, until you add the factor you left out: blind ambition and unbridled lust for power.

Youn must be a Lutheran who saw the light. My view of any demonination that gives money either to the National Coucil.of Churches or the World Council of Churches is that it’s a subversive socialust organization.
