Why would anyone want to inject cancer cells into otherwise healthy tissue?

This has been tried before with disaster with Chile and was a disaster after Cabinet member Salvadore Allende was elected President.

It gives the malcontents a bigger megaphone for stirring up trouble.

The politics of nations shifts over time. While democracy is flexible, socialism isn’t. When democracy moves socialism acts like a ratchet. With each click to the left it becomes less probable that the ratchet will release and allow the society to move back towards freedom.

Governments and their components, politicians, collect power. They hoard it and never let it go. This is why I think the best thing politicians ever do for their constituents is die. Even those who start out good end up clinging on long after their last good act and then they rot.

I came to Davao City 3 years ago, just before Typhoon Yolanda. I was living in Ormoc City. Leyte. which became ground zero. I rented a 5 bedroom house there, and it was completely destroyed, with only a broken shell left. God will provide!

I am living in one of the ten safest cities in the world. I travel all over the city day and night. I go out of town to other Provinces for the sights and sounds. I am an American, 68 years old, forced into retirement, living in the Philippines because of exchange rates. I spent a couple of years at the Armed Forces Retirement Homes in Gulfport and DC, but they are full of old people.

There are no jobs for 100,000,000 AMERICAN people and Obama wants to bring more Islamists into the USA. I am not a fan of the present government there, but I have only one vote. I vote in NC. I am all in for Trump. I believe he can help turn the ship of state back onto the proper course, with liberty and justice for all!

Duterte got 6 million more votes than the next guy. Foreigners are forbidden to involve into politics here. It is a deportable crime. I don't know what the future holds, but I think the guy is sincere. He is selling the Presidential yacht, gave the air fleet for air ambulance services, and has a plan to rid the criminal element. It may be a little throw-back, but it wasn't too long ago they hung cattle rustlers, in the "Old West". Maybe should hang the invaders into the USA! That would make them think four or five times about invading America!!

Vote Tump...

That is a remarkably apt simile. I think that image is an easy way to relate it well.

God help the Philippines.

Don’t we call this “ reaching across the aisle”

The American left will approve of this “ unity” government

It's not what millions of people expected ...

As best as could have been, Duterte was about as vetted as a man could be.

If the communists get important positions, like anything to do with police, or security, or military intelligence, then you can be sure it is a communist takeover. If the communists are given token positions in things that have no police powers, then maybe it isn’t as bad as it sounds.

In eastern Europe when communist governments were formed, the communists got all the appointments related to interior, police, and so on and from there the communists took everything over.
