President Barack Obama probably needed his gown to keep him warm as he delivered a commencement speech at Rutgers University amid historically cold temperatures in New Jersey.
But as he touted global warming, Obama denied that colder than usual temperatures meant that climate change didn’t exist.
“Now, I recognize it doesn’t feel like the planet is warmer right now. I understand,” he said, acknowledging that there was hail when he landed on Air Force One in Newark.
But Obama insisted that it was still a reality, citing “overwhelming consensus” from the scientific community to back his claim. He also mocked Republican critics who used the weather to suggest that climate change wasn’t real. He referred directly to the stunt by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) in which he threw a snowball on the Senate floor.

He probably wanted to cite “overwhelming evidence” but he doesn’t have that. So he cited “overwhelming consensus” instead.
But its not the same thing.
I didn’t see the transcript of his speech. But wonder how it is, that liberals can work global warming into a graduation speech.
I turn him off anytime he rears his ugly mug.
Listen, it used to be called GLOBAL Warming but then some areas weren’t getting warmer so we had to change the name to Climate Change and declare the science settled or else we’d lose out on hundreds of billions of dollars in funding!

Ha, I sat through the exact same experience in Vancouver a few years ago in mid-June, it was about 50 F outside instead of the normal 70. Never invite a climate change hustler to your graduation ceremonies (it wasn’t Obama up here, some lesser doofus).

If Obama cited “overwhelming evidence” would you believe it? These “think tanks” knows where their government funding comes from and will compile any type of reports necessary to keep them funded.
It was COLD yesterday in home state of CT when I had taken part in my parish church’s 50th anniversary mass, blessing of new Mary shrine outside, and reception, plus attending a non-profit fundrasier afterwards in another town.
