IMO, this is similar to a condemnation, everyone’s property is being removed without compensation. I surely would not want a block of potential terrorists living within 100 miles of me, and frankly not within 3000 miles of me either, and I don't see why the people of this village have to put up with that crap either. Furthermore, these people don't speak english, don't have any idea how democracy works, and are coming from a basically arid warm part of the world. We are doing them a disservice settling them anywhere so different from their homeland. Lastly, if they want freedom, have them do what others before them have done, fight for it, not by trying to turn their new place into their old place.
The citizens of the city should be informing the Mayor and his ‘secret cabal’ that their days are limited as the ballot box makes a good equalizer.
If nothing else hold public meetings for this crap.

Just because a person is elected by the majority of the people that decided to turn out and vote, doesn’t give him regal authority.
Of course the 30% of the people that stayed home because they didn’t like the way the opponent pronounced ‘maybe’ are to blame as well, along with the 20% that just don’t give a rats hind quarters until something touches them directly.
Which makes it so important to get out and vote even if you don’t like the candidates - even a write in for ‘Jessica Rabbit’ is better than to leave all the other positions open and vulnerable.
YOUR choice for Congressman or Senator don’t get your vote if you decide to stay home because you don’t like the selection for Pres or Gov or Mayor etc etc etc

- What ‘benefits’?
- These are ‘refugees’, economically, what do they bring? Does that mean they are denied benefits that would otherwise go to Citizens?
- What, culturally, do they bring that does not exist here, today?
- What ‘need’ does the community have to fill?
Ones I’d love to hear answered, but know will never be asked:
- How many is the mayor personally hosting/paying for?
- Whom is liable if/when crimes are committed by said ‘refugees’?
- Why weren’t persecuted Christians sought vs. Muslims?
