THE BIG IDEA:
The elites in Washington almost uniformly believe Hillary Clinton will be elected president in November. The conventional wisdom underlying coverage of 2016 is that Donald Trump will go down in flames and probably take the Republican Senate with him.
The presumptive GOP nominee has a well-documented history of misogyny, xenophobia and demagoguery. He has alienated women, Hispanics, Muslims, African Americans, Asian Americans and Native Americans. He has mocked the disabled, prisoners of war and Seventh-day Adventists. The speaker of the House and both living former Republican presidents are withholding endorsements.
It should be a slam dunk for HRC, right?
But, but, but: Six months is an eternity in politics, and a year ago no one in the chattering class –— including me –— believed Trump had any real shot at becoming the Republican standard-bearer. With Clinton struggling to sew up the Democratic nomination against a socialist septuagenarian –— she’s expected to lose tomorrow’s Kentucky primary –— we cannot foreclose the possibility that she will botch the fall campaign against the billionaire businessman.
The presidency is hers to lose, but here are a dozen ways Clinton can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory:

When hillary loses her cool, she’s a shrill, irrational *itch. She doesn’t seem very bright and she has bad judgement in crisis situations. Trump should be able to needle her, causing a John Dean caliber total meltdown.
Trump will take the gloves off and broadcast Hillarys sordid history from her dismissal from the Watergate Committee until today. He will talk to the American people directly and eschew the media as the partisan whores they are.
If Obama does not indict Hillary his legacy is toast and he knows it. Trump will lay out her incompetence and criminality constantly.
Felony mishandling of TS data.
Felony misuse of State Dept. office using foreign pay-for-play with the Clinton Foundation.
Tax Fraud with the Clinton Foundation.
Election Fraud with the Clinton Foundation.
Felony annoyance as a human being......
There’s already articles out describing Hillary as damaged. Loosing the FBI lottery isn’t the way to impress people with your integrity. Nor is trotting out your semi-invalid, ex-president husband to proxy for you an endearing act.
If the Democrat power brokers can’t see the truth about Hillary’s fast approaching SHTF moment, they’re as deluded as the close minded voters that would vote for her.
She doesn’t have the stamina to keep up with Trump even if she didn’t have the baggage to carry.
I stopped right there, the "elites in Washington" haven't been right about anything in the entire election cycle. This time last year the "elites in Washington" believed Jeb Bush would be the Republican nominee, they also believed Donald Trump would drop out of the race before the first debate and there was no conceivable way he could ever win the primary.
Many also believed that his candidacy is nothing more than a PR gig to pump up his TV show. How wrong they were!

I don’t think the “moderator” would “let” him do that, especially if it is one of the MSM. Their agenda and the public’s right to know are not the same.
