As I said, predicting a VP choice is nearly impossible until the last minute because the situation is fluid. A candidate might need some help in a key state, based on current polling. Or the opponent might open up a new line of attack that needs a defense. A lot can change in a few weeks.

But as of today, and according to the Master Persuader filter, I put the odds at 90% than Trump picks Brown as his running mate.

Sounds like a Dilbert of a choice - I certainly hope Adams is dead wrong.

Adams gave himself an out reserving the right to change his mind. I think he said Brown in order to upset people knowing it is not him.

How does the constitution define a "Natural Born Citizen?"

OF parents and of the soil. 'Natural born' US citizenship gave 'parents' the control over who is eligible to hold the office. It is akin to a birthright. And NO act of Congress or progressive judge has Constitutional authority to deem any to be a 'natural born' US citizen. We the people are government, NOT Harvard Law School graduates. And IF you are a 'natural born' US citizen then shame on you for going along with the subversion of our Constitution. But IF you are like Cruz or Rubio I get what your intentions are.

I could live with Walker.

Kasich made his stances quite plain during the primaries, and basically all of those stances fall in line with Clinton's and Sander's. He should have absolutely no consideration as a VP pick.

Thanks; that’s an interesting poll, with Gingrich and Carson neck-and-neck among likely Republican voters. I wonder if there is any recent polling setting various possible VP picks with Trump against Hillary and various Dem possibilities? For better or worse, the Rasmussen poll suggests that the VP pick isn’t that important to most voters.

If Trump picked Romney — certainly a moderate — it would shut down the independent candidate conspiracy and bring on board the GOP elite who had and may still have plans to counter Trump with a Romney selection.

Oh, how very special... I am the idiot? The Federalist Papers? Seriously? Vattel was the source used by the framers as to what constitutes a 'citizen'... The framers intended to have only those 'loyal' to the nation born of US citizen parents on US soil to hold the office of president. Power to naturalize was given to Congress... NOT even Mitch the Senate would resolve Cruz to be eligible to hold the office of president. Cruz threw a fit and called McConnel a liar... Want proof? The most Cruz can claim is a naturalized citizen, course I have seen nothing that proves he is even a US citizen.
