FWIW, the few supporters Obama has left believe the same thing; he didn’t take the Bolshevik Revolution of 2008 far enough. Some blame him, but others simply ascribe to Republican (read: white) obstructionism; in any case most view him as a failure (which is damaging Hillary’s chances).

This existential kenetic military action sounds like the work of the Venezuelan Ministry of Supreme Social Happiness. Chavez’s daughter has 4 billion dollars in the bank. What could go wrong.
In their drive to be essentially a Maoist-stylc Socialist state, they forgot to take care of the electrical infrastructure and the country is on the verge of complete collapse. Indeed, I warned several times in the last year--even here on Free Republic--that the collapse of Venezuela will result in the cutoff of petroleum exports from the country, and that will cause a major spike in the price of crude oil worldwide, especially since Venezuela exports crude oil to most of South America and to the USA.
The only people in Venezuela with enough food, toilet paper, fuel and dollars are the regular military. For the time being. The dictator has got to use them to quell the proletariat while the military’s loyalty is still buyable.
The bill for all those free lunches in Venezuela is coming due. Looks like the payment is going to be in blood.
