Hitler and Stalin won WWII and the Cold War, respectively, because nobody on “our” side took the battle where it was being waged—in the universities and the government schools. Reagan faced down the Soviets’ nukes, but there was another weapon that paralyzed Reagan and all other “conservatives,” and that was one word: “McCarthyism.”
Our government schools have been churning out Marxists right under bougeois Americans’ noses.
The “McCarthyism” movement is not as though there was no fire behind the smoke it reported, but that it didn’t point to any non superficial reason to refuse the fire.
As soon as we talk about something being un-American rather than being wicked or undermining righteousness, we have already conceded the matter to the arena of the ideas of men.
I kind of see a similar thing going on with the bathroom brouhahas. Boycott Target... and to hell with their employees who may have done nothing wrong... but larger sexual integrity? Oh no, we might be outed as hypocrites, we can’t touch on that!
