You are absolutely correct. We cannot afford to make assumptions that may never come to pass: “Hillary will drop out of the race due to health reasons”, “Hillary will be indicted and forced to drop out of the race”, etc. The polls will change back and forth, and we cannot arbitrarily dismiss polls showing Trump a few points behind as a biased poll, and therefor meaningless. We have to proceed on the assumption that we will have to fight for every single vote right up until the last polling place closes on election night. To get complacent and do otherwise is just too risky.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill’s heads may be down for a week, but they will fight back to gain the confidence of the vast unwashed of America.

The Garu Johnson-William Weld Libertarian Party ticket is being assembled. Every vote for these two is the same as endorsement for Mrs. Bill.
Bill and Hillary fight like little girls.
They will have no choice and will have to get into the mud pit with Trump.
And Trump will finish them off. He has a lot of experience beating back desperate candidates trying to catch up.
If she really tanks, then YES on the indictment.....if she stays ahead, then NO to an indictment.
I prefer the sample size to be skewed in favor of the democrats.

The less likely she looks to beat Trump, the more likely that will happen. The threat of it or it actually happening, is the only way to get her out if the Dems decide she is such a poor campaigner & so fatally flawed that she cannot win in November. The only thing keeping her afloat is the super delegate situation.
I think the over-sample is a discreet way to account for the fraud factor. This result signals that the Dems will have to exhume a few million more dead voters for them to have a chance. A tall order, even for them.
