Report: Clinton did not comply with State Dept. records policies
Chicago Sun-Times ^ | 5/25/2016 | Sun-Times Staff

Posted on 05/25/2016 7:31:39 AM PDT by Brown Deer

A report by the State Department’s inspector general has concluded that Hillary Clinton did not comply with the agency’s policies on records, Politico is reporting.

The report was released to lawmakers on Wednesday. It also revealed that Clinton and her top aides chose not to cooperate with the inspector general’s review, though current Secretary of State John Kerry and several predecessors were interviewed.

A copy of the report was obtained by POLITICO. While it concludes there are “longstanding, systemic weaknesses” with State Department records — weaknesses that “go well beyond the tenure of any one Secretary of State,” it specifically criticizes Clinton for her exclusive use of private email, according to Politico.

“Therefore, Secretary Clinton should have preserved any Federal records she created and received on her personal account by printing and filing those records with the related files in the Office of the Secretary,” the report states. “At a minimum, Secretary Clinton should have surrendered all emails dealing with Department business before leaving government service and, because she did not do so, she did not comply with the Department’s policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act.”

About time shrillary is held accountable....

If any of us pulled stunts like she has, we’d be in jail for the greater part of the rest of our lives .

Hillary is the most dishonest person to ever run for president, IMO.

Get ahead of Hillary’s lie about Trump Bankruptcies!

So what? She gets away with EVERYTHING. I don’t know we bother reporting on her malfeasance anymore. She is heavily protected an nothing will ever happen to her except maybe be elected President of the United States.

... she did not comply with the Department's policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act ...

Which is felony.

This is true...the FBI’s final report can be handed to the Justice Department and they just decline to proceed.

One might note...in January, a whole new Justice Department will arrive, and this report will still exist. So, a Trump AG might be inclined to proceed on Hillary, and the half-dozen people around her.

Trump might allow all of this to occur, and get to the final phase of a court situation....before pardoning her....just to demonstrate a point over how nice he really is.

I think the key point is that she simply can’t come into contact with classified material ever again. The behavior has been demonstrated and she’s just not capable of handling the stuff.

Guccifer will be found in a prison cell, having assumed room temperature. I’m convinced of it.

The IG’s report is NOT going to help Hilly when it comes to the cases in court before two judges. BOTH have allowed “discovery” in FOIA cases which is very unusual. Judicial Watch is currently in the middle of a schedule deposing Hilly’s top aides/State Dept. employees & is saying it looks like they will need to depose Hilly. Needless to say, she is NOT happy.

Judicial Watch Seeks Hillary Clinton Testimony
http://www.newsmax.com/TomFitton/email-emails-guidance-search/2016/05/24/id/730478/

Sure, there will be legal shenanigans on her part - she may take the 5th (which will look REALLY bad) etc. etc., but as far as I’m concerned, this is pissing her off, giving her heartburn (when combined with all the other stuff that is going on) & that’s all a “good thing”. She’s between a rock & a hard place on emailgate (see below) & it looks like ever so slightly, “the tide” is beginning to turn against her with the Dems/Obama Admin (going after buddy McAuliffe, movement on potentially deposing her good friend “Washerwoman” for starters).

******************************************

Victor David Hanson has summed up Hilly’s dilemma very succinctly in his column:

Hillary’s Sputtering Campaign
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/435744/hillarys-sputtering-campaign

1) The E-Mail Scandal
Although the FBI has not finished its investigation and sent its results and recommendations to the Obama Justice Department, most of the media and public have learned enough about the e-mail/server scandal to conclude that had any mid-level State Department or intelligence-agency employee emulated Hillary Clinton’s use of a private unsecured server — along with serial denials and lying about such use — he would have been fired and prosecuted.

Hillary’s exemption so far hinges entirely on the fact that she is the Democratic party’s only viable presidential candidate; her indictment would send the party into crisis, given that the committed socialist Bernie Sanders would be the most deserving to inherit the nomination. So her Sword of Damocles swings with public opinion. What keeps Hillary out of jail, or at least a plea-bargain, is her political viability, first as the likely Democratic nominee, and second as a presumable winner over Trump. But take either likelihood away, and she de facto loses exemption and becomes expendable — a fact that is well known to her and which cannot be an easy reality to face each morning. She is beginning to resemble a Third World caudilla who knows that the minute she loses power, so too she loses her head.

This scenario would rise. Wasserman Schultz is in very hot water and except for clowns like Boxer, Dems have been pretty quiet.

Maybe this is a “sauve qui peut” situation where the Dems bail on Hillary and try to salvage state and local elections

This seems like an “obscure” (for lack of a better word) investigation ..... why now? Worst possible time for Hilly - she needs McAuliffe & as an ages-old friend, supporter, business FOB (friend of Bill) ‘partner’, if he’s dirtied up publicly*, it makes her look even more corrupt. I agree the FBI can investigate etc. as you stated, but my “spidey sense” is telling me that there is more going on ...... DOJ/Obama are ok with this at a minimum.

We all KNOW he’s a sleazebag scumball corruptocrat, but getting the media to acknowledge it or talk about any of his dirty dealings with the Clintons has previously been a ‘non-starter’.

I think most democrats are in “damage control” mode. They are trying to strike the right balance between saving their own jobs and saving their own jobs.

Crooked Hillary is disqualified from ANY government position. It’s amazing that rats like her and BO can run for the government’s top spot when they wouldn’t even make the first cut for any lower level position due do negligence, abuse of power, and anti-constitutional activities.

“This is going away.”

No, it's not. State always was going to be the easiest on HRC, so the fact that this report is criticizing her at all is significant. Now, State will not take any ACTION against HRC, of course. However, the content of the report itself is in indicator that the findings of the FBI investigation and the results of the Judicial Watch suit are also going to be negative for HRC. Now, even optimists like me always knew that State, which after all, facilitated HRC’s private server (at least indirectly), was never going to punish her for her bad behavior; the FBI, vis-à-vis the DOJ, and the courts, as a result of Judicial Watch’s lawsuit, are different animals. It is very bad news indeed for HRC that the detestable, corrupt Terry McAuliffe is now the subject of a DOJ investigation for activities linked in part to his involvement with the Clinton Family Foundation. Remember: HRC’s secret server also was the server for the Clinton Foundation. Remember also that HRC’s staff deleted about 30k personal emails from that server. But those emails all were about yoga and Chelsea's wedding, right? It couldn't be that any of them were about, say, donations from Chinese nationals to McAuliffe’s campaign by way of the Clinton Foundation or some other chicanery, could it?

Freepers who continually post the-Clintons-are-untouchable: start paying close attention. They are, at long last, in big trouble.

This is a nice way to pivot the news cycles from Bill Clinton to her “smaller” crime of not following company policy...

A large portion of the FBI exists to protect classified information and despite “political guesses” I still believe they will fulfill their role. If they didn’t, it would undermine their own authority and damage their reputation. Contrary to the suggestions of many here and elsewhere, the FBI (as an organization) is apolitical.

There is much merit to this. I might not call the motivations of the FBI "apolitical," but I do believe the motives of the FBI, as with any federal bureaucracy, are independent of any political motivations of a particular party or candidate. The permanent Federal Bureaucracy is a very real but unelected and politically unaccountable 4th branch of government. They will act entirely in what they believe to be their own self interest. At the permanent levels of each agency, below the upper strata of political appointees, these long tenured bureaucrats are the ones who really make and implement policy. And they are secure in the knowledge that Congress won't do anything to interfere in any meaningful way. The Presidents appointees come and go. If you're a bureaucrat, you can blow them off for a few years and they go away. You're still there.

My case example is the IRS actions regarding the 501 status of TEA Party organizations. To be sure, the IRS footdragging on their applications served the interests of the 0bama regime. However, to the average career IRS bureaucrat, "TEA" also meant "RIF." So the IRS was only too happy and zealous in following the regime's desires to keep those organizations from being certified as tax-exempt. But tegardless of what the regime wanted, the IRS was going to stonewall those applications because it served the interests of the agency and its employees.

So now the bureaucratic self-interest shoe is on the other foot. We have a whole slew of intelligence agencies, the permanent staff of which for the most part take their duties seriously. They cannot be happy about the security compromises represented by Clinton. In fact, her compromises go to more than what was on the line for the IRS agents with TEA Party organizations. Those guys were only looking at losing their jobs. NSA, CIA and DIA agents are looking at losing their lives. We all know of at least four deaths she's already responsible for. The enforcement arm for these agencies has always been the FBI, who I believe also take their jobs seriously.

The professional bureaucrats stick together for each other. The operatives of all of these agencies will do what they can, bureaucratically speaking, to torpedo Cankles and keep her out of the White House.

“State Dept. watchdog: Clinton violated email rules”

Not surprising. Rules and laws are made for we little people, not important special people like elite-level Democrats like Crooked Hillary Clinton (or Willie Clinton for that matter, either).

Fortunately, should Crooked Hillary be elected President, she and Willie will once again be completely above the law. On the other hand, if not elected, Crooked Hillary has made sure of an Obama pardon before he leaves office by supporting his policies on the campaign trail lock, stock and barrel, even though most are millstones around her neck. Apparently, the price of a pardon is pretty high these days for the likes of a Crooked Hillary.
