Full title:

Feds Order Colleges to Stop Checking Criminal/School Discipline History Because it Discriminates Against Minorities

The Obama administration has ordered the nation’s colleges and universities to stop asking applicants about criminal and school disciplinary history because it discriminates against minorities. Institutions are also being asked to offer those with criminal records special support services such as counseling, mentoring and legal aid once enrolled. The government’s official term for these perspective students is “justice-involved individuals” and the new directive aims to remove barriers to higher education for the overwhelmingly minority population that’s had encounters with the law or disciplinary issues through high school.

Instructions are outlined in a cumbersome document (Beyond the Box) issued by the U.S Department of Education (ED) this month. It says that “data show plainly that people of color are more likely to come in contact with the justice system due, in part, to punitive school disciplinary policies that disproportionately impact certain student groups and racial profiling.” Because education can be a powerful pathway to transition out of prison and into the workforce, it’s critical to ensure that admissions practices don’t disproportionately disadvantage justice involved individuals, the directive states. Colleges and universities should also refrain from inquiring about a student’s school disciplinary history—including past academic dishonesty—because that too discriminates against minorities. Civil rights data compiled by ED show “black students are suspended and expelled at a rate three times greater than white students and often for the same types of infractions.”

So I asked my college kids about student loans and they all liked Bernie's ideas. After helping my kids as much as I can, they have all had to take small loans and work during college.

So I asked them, “what about your friends that used college loans to live off?”

Oops. Wrong question to ask. Looks like they are starting to understand the problems of Free Everything.

The idea is to keep people distracted from the other things Satan Hussein Obama and company are up to.

Sounds more like exactly the RIGHT question to ask.

When I graduated, I couldn't WAIT to get out of academia and start earning actual money even if my first gig (and second) were far from my ideal job.

My friends and I used to go to these rallies because liberal chicks were easy. “I support you” and “I cannot believe people act like that” usually turned into, “Hey babe, when you come back to bed, please bring me a bottle of water.”

They never could figure out the irony.

So they’re admitting that blacks commit much more crime than whites.

I am a loan officer. I want to help everybody and anybody buy a home regardless of race, religion, color, creed, national original, sexual identity, etc.

But I have to say, it is so hard to help some minorities buy a home because they just don’t pay their bills and have terrible credit.

I believe a broad construction of the general welfare provision in the taxing and spending clause is a common refuge for that sort of thing.

“The Obama administration has ordered the nation’s colleges and universities to stop asking applicants about criminal and school disciplinary history because it discriminates against minorities. “

I find it astounding that this idiot seems incapable of connecting the dots.

Thank you for referencing that article detective. As usual, note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots, please bear in mind that Obama is not the main problem with these issues. Corrupt Congress is the main problem because, although Congress has the constitutional authority to put a stop to Obama's destructive policies, Congress stubbornly refuses to do so.

As indicated in related threads, the low-information, institutionally indoctrinated, state sovereignty-ignoring Obama Administration is wrongly ignoring that the states are free to discriminate on the basis of anything that they haven’t amended the Constitution to expressly protect.

Also, the states have never constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for any aspect of INTRAstate schooling.

Remember in November !

When patriots elect Trump they also need to elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for America, but also put a stop to unconstitutional federal interference in state affairs, intrastate education in this example.

Also consider that such a Congress would probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices and judges.

Men in little girls toilets. Girls in military foxholes. Abortions in Christian hospitals. Anti- American Islamonazi jihadist guerilla fighters in every city and town. Dead people voting. Illegal aliens voting. Convicted Criminals voting. Open orders. Anerican jobs exported. Foreign workers being brought in to take american jobs away from us. Illegal aliens given American identification documents and state driver licenses and welfare and free medical health care and free food and free education and college admissions and university scholarships while more and more American kids can’t get in. Public colleges selectively recruiting foreign students over American kids. USA real estate being bought up mass-scale by communist Chinese and other foreign countries, pushing housing prices sky high in targeted major markets thus forcing young Americans out of the housing market ( they’re living with mama well into their 30’s and 40’s now!). American companies importing foreign workers and forcing their American employees to train them as their replacements. Obama and hillaryband Bernie love it...push most of this Krap 0n us — is it any wonder Americans are increasingly feeling upset, alienated, angry? Obama and company ( with gop-E) are selling America and Americans out

It’s all part of the relentless NWO plan to destroy common-sense and right thinking people, to create malleable sheep who will sit down and shut up and do what they are told. Grim.

send all the serious felons to the Harvard/Yale/Columbia/Princeton business, law, and political science schools. They’ll fit right in there, on their way to rule over us in the center of criminality and corruption Washington Dc

Discrimination is not a bad thing.

It is why someone takes a fresh sandwich over a smelly, rotting moldy sandwich.

It is why you dont go to certain places in your city.

It is why you choose one business over another.

It is why you date a particular person but not another.

Irrational discrimination exists, no doubt.

However there is plenty of reasons to rationally dicriminate against people and geoups and businesses and we all do it every day.

For example, voting for a president just because he is black. Great example of irrational discrimination. I cant remember how many clips and statements blacks made the last two elections that were exactly this irrational discriminatiom.

Any business checking for criminal histories of potential employees or students is a rational form of discrimination. It is not societys fault a higher percentage of mimorities have criminal record for their criminal actions they decided to commit.

Agreed! The right to discriminate--to make one's personal choices, rather than accept the forced Collectivist choices--goes to the very essence of human freedom. You discriminate when you vote; when you choose one product rather than another; when you order from a menu; when you select a mate; when you go to one Church or other place of worship rather than another.

People need to stop and think, before they allow the Collective--the Government--to take away or even disparage their right to choose for themselves.
