It seems clear to me that Trump is trying to rip away Bernie supporters from Hillary in the general election. Look for the debate to be fairly respectful as compared with most of the Republican primary debates, because he does not need to “Get rid” of Bernie. Bernie is just a convenient tool.

I am reminded of Samson destroying the Philistines using the jawbone of an ass. (Judges 15:16)

Hillary is probably having a triple shot of vodka right now, cussing out the Secret Service and throwing ashtrays.

Trump’s strategy also sucks the media oxygen away from Big Mouth Pocahontas.

If this does happen think about what it does to Hillary's chances in California.

Also $10 million is a starting price. If someone wants to put in a higher offer who would turn it down.

He wants the network to pay for it.

And undercut Hillary and validate Sanders.

I bet that Hillary would refuse the debate. So many angles to be played. Trump is brilliant.

Plus, wasn’t there a poll that claimed that Sanders would do well against Trump? Maybe he is trying to head this off.

"Welcome to the Thunderdome, Hillary."

Excellent metaphor. Trump is going to wipe the floor with her like she was a server cloth

The $$$ would come from ads...not the participants.

“Trump has explained how it works when he first came up with the idea months ago. Any network that broadcasts this will make a fortune on advertising revenue. They’d donate the $10 million from their profits.’

Great point. I’d also like to think he’s fine tuning his public relations approach to when he will have Mexico fund that big old honking wall that is going to be built. All good!

sanders and his degenerate spouse (who collapsed the college she was at) have a net worth of a few million. Pretty good for useless socialists.

Think before you post. He’s not asking Sanders to pay, the money would come from the news channel that broadcast it.

$10 million to sponsor a “Trump vs Bernie” debate would be worth ten times that in publicity and goodwill for any company willing to come forward.

Oh what a decision for the poor MSM:

1) We pay $10m to watch The Donald go after The Bern in a cage match, and we make $100M

2) We don’t, so both contestants don’t get to trash Hillary! on prime time TV, and we make $0

“Think before you post. He’s not asking Sanders to pay, the money would come from the news channel that broadcast it.”

Read.

See 17.

He did.

Doesn’t matter. Trump was apparently just BS’ing when he said he’d debate Sanders.

I think Trump is asking that from the station that broadcasts the debate.

“ifinnegan” sounds Irish.

Are you a teetotaler when it comes to sense of humor?

“Haven’t quite recovered from TDS yet, eh?”

Give it up. It’s over. trump has the nomination and is glowing to steam roll Clinton.

My prediction is in four years or so the bloom will be off the rose and you will be the one hating Trump for selling out and you’ll be on to a new political savior whereas I will be objectively acknowledging and supporting the good things he did and recognizing the less good things that merit criticism.

Sanders doesn’t have $10M.

He isn't asking Sanders for the money, genius.

The money would come from huge advertising dollars pouring in to the network that's hosting the debate.

And you vote?

Sanders doesn’t have $10M.

Sanders doesn't have to put up one penny to debate Trump.
