The University of Missouri, which was rocked by race protests last year that toppled its two leaders, caused its biggest donors to retreat and dampened interest among prospective students, will spend more than $1 million to audit its diversity policies.
In addition to the $1.1 million audit, the UM System also plans to spend $2 million on other diversity initiatives, including the hiring of a chief diversity officer and systemwide task force, the Missourian reported earlier this week.
IBIS Consulting Group will conduct the comprehensive audit, interviewing students, professors and staff on all four campuses in the UM System, according to a news release.
“This assessment will help us understand where we stand in comparison to our peer institutions and best practices in higher education,” said Michael Middleton, the interim president, who assumed the position in November after the protests forced the resignation of Tim Wolfe.
In late April, Heat Street requested a comprehensive breakdown of Mizzou’s new expenditures on diversity, equity and inclusion, but it has not yet received a response, despite numerous follow-ups.
Several Mizzou students told Heat Street that while a handful of racist incidents on campus in recent years disturbed them, they do not believe there’s a systemic problem.

I am ashamed. I know the Mizzou well (from the past) and this disgusts me.
Progressives 'splain away failure with had waving and knowing smiles. Its not their fault but the fault of the lowly peons who can't make utopia up out of whole cloth. Maybe its time the schools turn into something besides degree granting institutions.
This is PUBLIC money. By all means, shut them down!

The perp will probably be suspended with pay and gather additional retirement benefits during the extended trial.

Trust me, Mizzou, the problem with declining numbers of students IS NOT because of a lack of diversity.
You have a minority which seems to be ablt to do whatever they want by hollering “racism”, even to the point of getting respected faculty members and the President to resign.
Parents don’t want to send their kids into that.
The scope of this misreading of happenstance is mind boggling. It almost has to be intentional.
They are pouring kerosene on the fire and wondering why it isn't putting the fire out.

And all but two of the “several racial incidents” were hoaxes perpetrated by the “aggrieved” snowflakes.......Especially that of Journalism Professor Cynthia Frisby who made up stories about being called a N many times by townspeople and fellow faculty. . . .and not one ounce of investigation by the U or the J-School. Gee, wonder why?
The real racism was this BS, the fake hunger strike by a millionaire;s brat , the fake Poop Swastika, and a lie about the KKK on campus tweeted by the student body Prez who also happens to be radical racist and homosexual

Let’s change the name of the Un. of Missouri from MIZZOU to “You Owe More Money” for its students and their paying parents.
I think another good name for Un. of Mo would be “YoMoma”.
How about “UBSTUPID”? Getting a BS in Diversity/Genders studies is like a duck getting a driver’s license.
And God knows I've tried.
