They are talking about a Windows password to access the computer. Many home computer users do not use passwords, since they don’t think anyone can get physical access to their keyboard.
Within the computer, she would have had Outlook installed to view her emails. It would have to set up to authenticate to her home server in some manner. Presumably, an https connection would be used.
The danger is obvious; anyone who had physical access to the computer could sit down and use it. That person could not only read Hillary Clinton’s email, he could send emails ‘from’ Hillary Clinton.
So there is not even any proof that Hillary Clinton actually sent the emails that are ‘from’ her. She could have had Huma Abedin or Cheryl Mills sit down at that computer and compose emails.
