Neoconservative political operative Bill Kristol announced Sunday that an independent candidate will enter the presidential race to challenge both Donald Trump and the Democratic Party nominee.
Kristol, the editor of The Weekly Standard, has been trying for months to find a third-party challenger since his preferred candidates lost in the Republican primaries to Trump. Now, just weeks after meeting with Mitt Romney to talk about a third-party run, Kristol hinted Sunday that his plot is coming to fruition.

Kristol’s plan isn’t a Ross Perot type 3rd party plan.
His idea is to run this candidate in only a few states, work only those states hard, and get just enough delegates to keep Trump and Clinton from getting enough electoral votes to win.
Election would then go to House.... Paul Ryan and congress would then pick me he President.
And there is no one to actually spit in this creep’s face? Because that is the minimum he deserves.

That has the same chance of working as the Cruz/Kasich collaboration in Indiana.
perfect analogy. They spent $500 to take down Trump. Nobody is pouring anymore money away. Its Clinton vs Trump, whether Kristol likes it or not.
We’re not supposed to curse on here, but that’s some great plan he has, to cavalierly screw with this country and the Constitution and throw the presidency to someone not chosen by the people in the general election.
Of course the real plan may be to elect Hillary which is marginally not as bad?

For Kristol to wander this deep into the woods, his publication must be in high do do, holding on by a shoelace in order to continue business as usual. Donald Trump has mentioned the fact that it will no longer be a business sooner rather than later.
Billy boy will be searching (just like many others) to find a job paying an income on which he might be able to live and survive. Are out of work editors a dime a dozen at the moment, or are they earning the salaries of elites?

Pretty sure that it will not be Cruz. Most states have sore loser laws that would preclude him from getting on the ballot. Although, he would likely endorse anyone the nevertrumpers float.
Still think it’s Romney. I’m of the belief that Romney is the reason Ryan is playing games with the Trump endorsement.

Exactly right. These are Chattering Class attention whores. They make more money in opposition so naturally they prefer the Butcher of Benghazi to the presumptive GOP nominee when it is not their progressive GOPer of choice like Romney.
Probably some centrist Democrat thinking they can make a run up the middle and prevent Trump or Clinton from getting enough electoral votes by taking VA, WI, RI, ME, MD, DE, DC.
That would leave it up to the House of Representatives to pick a President out of a hat. Kristol thinks because the House is a GOP majority, they will pick a business as usual neocon globalist and ignore the will of the voters.
I’m sorry, I just can’t get riled up about this until it actually happens (which it won’t). I simply don’t believe one word out of Kristol’s mouth.
