To hear Rush Limbaugh tell it Tuesday, Donald Trump's 40-minute tirade against the mainstream media as he accounted for the nearly $6 million raised for veterans was a gully washer after years of parched Republican distaste with the Fourth Estate.
"Well, that's what you've all wanted. That's what everybody's been asking for I don't know how long," Limbaugh began in a segment of his show, according to the transcript. "That was a press conference. That was a press conference. That was the kind of press conference Republicans voters have been dying to see for who knows how many years."

Good on Trump for unloading on the MSM liars!
It’s about time someone opened up a can of whup-@$$ on em!
Vote TRUMP!!!
Oh yes. I expect Hannity will give it much play.
Thanks for posting the short version.
That is a leader.
That IS our NEXT President!
Trump 2016!
Well, now that the press knows how Trump feels, they might change their ways. ;)
Go Trump!
I’m not what you’d call a member of the Trump brigade, though I’ll be voting for him in the general, as it seems likely he’ll be the nominee. However, I’m feeling less and less troubled by that potential vote as time goes on. I’m still quite sure there is going to be a hell of a lot of buyers remorse amongst many actual conservatives here at FR, but I am beginning to think that a man like him is exactly what we need, if he’s able to keep speaking his mind and doesn’t get roped into the beltway mentality.
The way I see it, we are quickly approaching the waterfall, we need to reach a rock to stop from going over, and that rock is Trump. Then eventually we can worry about being rescued and getting back to business as usual.
Have you considered the extent of buyers remorse if it’s not Trump? Get a grip or get out!
What Trump brought to a head, like a infectious pustule, the Lamestream Media. He squeezed their little necks and the pus flowed down in a putrid stream. It was a glorious outing of the sleaze that has ridden the Media for decades. With their First Amendment rights that no place on earth has to their equal, they have rode their place of privilege into the ground. Trump rode over them like the garbage they have become.
Screw the Media
Time for everyone to stop watching Bret Baier and his merry group of Trump haters
IMO, there’s a YUGE difference between ‘turning the other cheek’ and ‘being someone’s punching dummy’.
W did not do himself, the office, the party, the ‘message’, ANY favors for taking a c0ck kn0cking day in/out w/out SOME push-back; let alone NOT correcting the falsehoods and lies from the Left.
Limbaugh hails Trump? What a joke.
Trump don’t need Limbaugh. El Rushbo should go back and stick with the corrupt Bush/Cruz clans, where he is clearly more comfortable and in his realm.
And to hear the lamentation of Tommy Llamas...
Rush...is right more than you everyday.
Except I was right about Cruz and Limbaugh wasn’t.
Rush is right more...than you can fathom.
I want to know how much money the ‘reporters’ present gave to vets in the last 5 years.
Then I want to know how many of them made an effort to track down the money Bill Clinton raised for Haiti... ‘cause that money went missiong....
Then reporters can tell us why - when Hillary collects ‘donations’ for her slush fund - and ONLY 3% OF THE MONEY GOES FOR THE STATED ‘CHARITY’... WHY THE HELL DON’T THEY GANG UP ON HILLARY? And badger her for once.
Unless of course the answer is as obvious as ‘total and complete bias’...

I'm sorry that I'm not a zombie that blindly accepts Trump as the Saviour of All Mankind. He's a man, like any others with good and bad attributes. I like the fact that he's taking the media and democrats on without playing by their rules, and accepting their conditions for discourse. On the other hand, given what I've read about him, I believe he's socially a lot more liberal than many folks on Free Republic are willing to believe at this point. Therein, I suspect will be the crux of much of the aforementioned "buyer's remorse" on his candidacy, when he's actually in office. Personally, I think he's going to stomp whomever the democrats run against him, and that's a good thing. Doesn't mean you should be afraid to look at him with your eyes open and understanding that his worldview is going to me much different than a lot of conservative folk.
As for the "get a grip or get out", you can bugger off. I'm not going anywhere.
I'll agree with you on that. Just about anyone would be better than any candidate that the democrats are likely to field.
