What is also sad is that almost half of my Twitter feed has become an alternate universe, populated by delusional GOPe types who actually think Kristol’s fantasy candidate has a snowball’s chance of winning the Presidency, not just spoiling the race for Trump.

The neocons like Kristol were never true conservatives/Republicans. They were an opportunistic parasitical political cult. They took advantage of the fact the conservatives love the military and they kept flying the security flag to trick us into overseas military adventures.

This became apparent after the Cold War removed the USSR as the main threat. During that time the neocon views lined up with the anti-communist views of the Reagan era. When the Cold War ended the neocon's parasitic nature and their parasitic agenda became more clear.

[This election is shaping up to be an epic battle, like Ali vs. Frazier. ]

The third party “candidates” are the ones that hold the spit bucket.

The same thing has happened to me with a life-long friend (or so I thought) and high school classmate. But unlike the FReepers who supported Cruz who have gone away, she won't go away and leave me alone.

We both started out supporting Cruz in the spring of 2015 but when Trump appeared on the scene, I threw my support behind him and never looked back. He looked like a winner to me and Cruz looked more and more like another conservative that couldn't win it.

Well, I turned out to be right. Trump has won the nomination and Cruz lost. Or so I thought. This classmate I mention is on the warpath for my head simply because she found out I voted for Trump in my primary. She is livid. She still thinks Cruz can win it at the convention with some sort of delegate skullduggery. I suppose that could happen....in her dreams.

But now this gal is on a constant tirade, ranting and raving about how evil Trump is and is very angry that Cruz dropped out of the race after Indiana. She sounds like she's upset because he didn't call her personally and clear his decision to suspend his campaign with her first, before he threw in the towel. She's that angry. And now I am in her crosshairs because she hates Trump supporters as bad as she hates Trump himself.

She's got the Cruz-was-my-guy disease real bad. I don't know if she will ever recover. Sad case.

Krissytol's other choices were:

Thanks for sharing that sad story.

I grew to despise Ann Landers and never read another of her columns after she completely sympathized with a couple who’d been best friends forever with another couple who had voted for GW in 2000, and just couldn’t stand being friends with them anymore because of their vote.

Neocons like Bill Kristol are not only not "true conservatives," they are as you point out by implication, not Conservative at all. My analysis of the phenomenon, during the Bush II Administration, was based entirely on the writing of their acknowledged "Godfather," Bill Kristol's father, who openly proclaims his ideological roots as a devotee of Leon Trotsky, the head of the Bolshevik Red Army, and thus the leading butcher in the Bolshevik Revolution.

The fact that the Washington Post chooses to treat Kristol as a "Conservative" leader, confirms his status with the Leftist media. It should be a red flag to any duped Conservative.

I have no idea who David French is; but if he is working with Kristol, he is not likely an American Conservative.

See Neocon Phenomenon, to understand how truly far from Conservative--or any shared values--are the Kristols.

Here's the problem: No one -- and I mean NO ONE -- outside of a small circle of conservatives and anti-Trump folks knows who David French is.

Exactly - it would be a steep uphill climb even before Trump's folks get some data to go after the guy with. being a pawn of those who prefer Hillary to having the Republicans win a stunning victory is only the opening salvo....if French has any brains, he will decline.

If the RINOELITES run a third party they will loose big time and Trump will win. Then we never let them back in.

I don’t know how sad it is but if French is the best they can find to run as an independent then #nevertrump surely is dead.

I remember when those pictures of Gore’s Montecito mansion (that’s near Santa Barbara, for those of you in Rio Hondo)
appeared here on Free Republic.

I thought Tipper might have been awarded the Montecito home in the divorce settlement, but I’m not sure.

Indeed. The Neocons just transferred Revolutionary ethos of Trotsky and instead of the USSR being the transmission entity of a world globalism it became the USA.

This is not too hard to believe because Karl Marx praised the 19th century USA as the place he hoped the socialist revolution would take hold and flourish in a best case scenario.

The neocons did abandon planned economics but held onto the idea of the USA should be a big govt in terms of military planning and as a security state. The Military Industrial Complex form of socialism. This Military Industrial Complex is to be used to bring about a some sort of Pax Americana. The neocons don't like any notion of independent regional powers, even of they are not hostile to the USA and are democracies. All nations need to be brought to heel as client states of the neocon US empire in order to fulfill the globalist revolution.

There are other globalists out there like the UN globalists - the neocons are just one subgroup of this thinking.

Romney lives in La Jolla, California. His garage is so big that he asked the town to approve an elevator lift for his high classy automobiles. To convey them to grade level where they can be driven off on a Mormon style joy ride.

Like elevators on aircraft carriers I suppose. Except for no joy rides unless you are John McCain.

AlGore bought at Montecito post-Tipper and pre-massage therapists. (as far as I know)

Global warming AlGore must be retired and enjoying his few hundreds of millions. I never hear from him any more.
