more than 90% of the population there is “people of color”
People of color are pot heads?
That explains why the left wants pot free and legal.
What color were they? Red, green, blue?
No longer do they patrol those areas and we see the higher and higher murder rates that result from their absence.
I’m pink, not white.
Pink is a color.
DO NOT REFER TO MINORITIES AS MEN OF COLOR, for *I* am a man of color.
I hate you because you posted my thought first.
Many of us have jobs and have to worry about drug testing.
I know companies that do drug testing for construction projects and labor jobs. Most of the ones they test cannot be hired because they fail drug tests.
Most of these people don’t want to work. Otherwise, they might could pass a drug test.
This means there sure are a lot of black people with drugs on them.
Racial profiling of NY pot smokers. /s
Not evidence of racism; evidence of different behavior among races based on my observations. Perhaps white kids in the suburbs have better intelligence and impulse control, for example. Instead of smoking a joint on the steps of their apartment in plain view, or in a convenience store or gas station, or while walking/gathering on the street, in front of a police station, on a public beach (Yeah, I’ve seen all of these), they do it out of view in someone’s home when no responsible adults are present, a shack in the woods, or other isolated area out of public view.
Obama and his Choom Gang will be on it in a few minutes.
Loretta will whine about “disparate impact” and make up some new rules.
Why are the people pulled over or investigated?
Sometimes these discrepancies are caused by behavior and not skin differences. More white people seem to have internalized public polite comportment. This could give white people an advantage at hiding their pot consumption. If a group of people are showing “attitude,” it may make them feel big inside but it gives the wrong impression to outsiders. Then, when they are chosen to be investigated, officers have a chance at finding that marijuana. Best to remain polite and kind.
Speaking kind of about that attitude problem, did anyone see America’s Got Talent last night? Simon Cowell is on the judges’ panel and it is a great improvement. There was a singing group and their promo showed them, really tough, big, black, tattooed, hanging out on the streets, looking very cold and tough. When they were introduced they kept that rough attitude on stage and had gang style nicknames. Then they started singing. They did an amazing harmonized, jazzy rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. They were so good and so different than their looks, a great audience expectation setup. At the end when they were complimented by the judges one tough guy started breaking down on air. Really nice to watch.
At some point NYC will admit to those of us with eyes that 90% of NYC is “people of color”...
