If “the Law” says that law enforcement is not obligated to protect the public who pay their salaries, then disband the police and return to “frontier justice.” Because a police force that won’t protect the people is no longer “law enforcement” but simply an occupying force enforcing the rule of a totalitarian state.

Oh and BTW. The above scenario is precisely why the Founders gave us the Second Amendment. It is a simple fact of life that gun owners have known all along - when push comes to shove, the police won’t protect you.

The fact that the San Jose police chief and mayor are not summarily removed from office should be frightening to all freedom-loving Americans.

I agree the Chief and mayor should be removed, but who is going to do it???

It would take their city council to impeach and fire...It would take the governor (who is democrat) to summarily remove the mayor...

I don’t see that happening in California...
