I seriously doubt they talk “daily” but I’m sure Newt the couch monster would like us to believe that, keeps him relavent AKA marketable.

Trump has shown an uncanny ability to amend or clarify these sort of mis-statements, because most people know what he meant all along. Gingrich is the only person that seems perturbed by this.

I saw a democrat woman on FOX tonight talking about how terrible it is that Trump is pointing out the guys ethnicity, and that “we are all Americans.” No we’re not, according to the democrats were African-Americans, we’re Hispanics, we’re LGBT’s, we’re women, we’re Asians, on and on. We’re “all Americans” when the left thinks that they can score some points by saying that, other wise it’s divide and conquer.

I knew what Trump meant by it. And I know just by looking at this judge’s face that he’s a crooked sumbitch who hides behind a mask of placid competency; such people are ubiquitous in public life these days.
But yeah, most people aren’t going to infer correctly what Trump meant by the statement. Think of the most shallow, 1-dimensional, and emotionalized way a statement might be interpreted, and that’s how it gets processed in their brain.
Saying ‘La Raza’ would’ve been received neutrally and perhaps with some attendant curiosity, because most people have no idea what it is.

Amen, Kit. It’s about time someone stepped up to the plate. What DJT said is COMMON SENSE, something not so common these days.
Immigration, up until the mid 1960’s, used to be very strict, with quotas favoring countries that had similar cultures to US society up until that time. Then, along came TED Kennedy who went out of his way to bring in groups that had very different cultures, values, etc. with the clear intent to dilute our society. He was such an evil person, I am glad he is “in a warmer climate” now.
And too many of these LEGAL immigrants do not assimilate, like the immigrants of long ago. Over the course of time, the culture is lost, which was the intent.
Gingrich is SO WRONG!!!! Our “legal” system IS the problem and has been destroyed 100 years ago —AND HE KNOWS IT.

Trump has a problem with the nationality of the referenced judge possibly because the judge’s family not only comes from a country that the USA has immigration problems with, but is also one of the countries that Trump claims has been cheating the USA in trade deals.
In fact, the Founding States were aware that such conflicts of interests are possible as evidenced by their requirement that a president be a natural born citizen, Trump’s frustration with the judge likewise possibly the indirect consequence of a lawless president with sealed records.
In fact, and maybe I’m comparing apples and oranges, but in 2011 Gingrich wasn’t happy with federal judges.
