Second only to Lyndon Johnson, Nixon was the most liberal President in history... until Zero. Now he is #3.
I don’t know about that. The 20th century to date has been replete with mostly leftist/establishment-left Presidents, Nixon being one in a long line. Since 1901 to date, only Taft, Harding, Coolidge, and Reagan were not, and only Harding and Coolidge managed to really cut the government. Historians REALLY hate Harding for that, as he not only cut government size and spending, he resolved the Wilson Depression in almost record time and kicked off the economic boom of the 1920s. I consider Harding to be one of our greatest Presidents.
