There’s been a lot of political pushing for a long time to orient immigration toward money instead of toward those more likely to be loyal Americans (e.g., foreign families of Americans of long American descent). It’s assumed that foreigners bringing money or professional credentials are okay. We’re seeing results of that policy.

Does anyone ever wonder if the FBI leaves these people alone for a reason? Like maybe the government wants the chaos, or wants to heighten fear, or something? Or is it just incompetence?
If the shooter’s father is running for President of Afghanistan, doesn’t that entitle us to deport him and his wife there even if they are naturalized since the naturalization process requires a person to swear allegiance solely to the United States?
Do the Israelis do that? Good for them. They don't delude themselves about the threat as the U.S. government does.
