Because saying ISIS recognizes them in Iraq & Syria.
Saying ISIL recognizes them in Irag and The Levant, an area which includes the entirety of Israel

IMO, there is no profanity adequate to describe the POS occupying “our” WH.
Simple, his use of ISIL is two fold. First he gets away with his anti Israel crap because the Levant includes Israel. Secondly he cannot say that he is fighting ISIS because he isn’t. So if he is supporting them, just call them something else when referring to the boogy-man. He is always against the imaginary ISIL so he is never against ISIS.
Yeah, ISIL is a subtle dig at Israel but I think there’s more to it than that. He avoids ISIS hecause ISIS is graspable and evocative to the average Joe. It’s an expression of contempt for middle America...he won’t even deign to use their word for their enemy.
BTW, does anyone know if the press has ever asked Obama why he uses the contrarian term ISIL?
