The former deputy director of the CIA fears that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria could carry out attacks in the United States.
CBS News national security analyst Mike Morell told “CBS This Morning” Thursday that this terror group poses both short- and long-term threats to the U.S.
“The short-term concern is the Americans that have gone to fight with ISIS and the west Europeans that have gone to fight with ISIS could be trained and directed by ISIS to come to the United States to conduct small-scale attacks,” Morell stated. “If an ISIS member showed up at a mall in the United States tomorrow with an AK-47 and killed a number of Americans, I would not be surprised.”
Morell warned that over the long-term the extremist group could be planning for a 9/11-style attack that killed thousands of Americans.

Me too. I teach and every time that we have a school wide assembly, I get extremely nervous because there are limited exits. I’ve been lobbying my school board to allow teachers to conceal carry. To their credit, they aren’t completely opposed to the idea.

Wouldn’t be at all surprising - the Orlando incident was apparently one person acting on his own although inspired by ISIS - but ISIS the movement/organization/crusade knows that Obama is near the end of his reign and that whoever follows him is likely to be much tougher to deal with - I fully expect a massive, coordinated, horrendous effort by ISIS operatives in this country by the end of the year as one last gasp at taking advantage of Obama’s weakness and foolishness to hurt the country as much as possible....

I hate to say it, but there are several malls around here I avoid, and it’s not because of the stores, but because of the loitering patrons. Unfortunately, ISIS won’t choose those kinds of malls to clear out.
