The former deputy director of the CIA fears that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria could carry out attacks in the United States.
CBS News national security analyst Mike Morell told “CBS This Morning” Thursday that this terror group poses both short- and long-term threats to the U.S.
“The short-term concern is the Americans that have gone to fight with ISIS and the west Europeans that have gone to fight with ISIS could be trained and directed by ISIS to come to the United States to conduct small-scale attacks,” Morell stated. “If an ISIS member showed up at a mall in the United States tomorrow with an AK-47 and killed a number of Americans, I would not be surprised.”
Morell warned that over the long-term the extremist group could be planning for a 9/11-style attack that killed thousands of Americans.

Trump should tweet Morrell’s statement.
I have often wondered aloud, as have friends and family, why two or more Jihadis have not simultaneously entered a Mall at different entrances and dispensed their venom.
The democrats and rinos will tell you that proves there aren’t very many “radical muslims” in the country.
And I can’t agree that they know the reponse would be huge. This non response to Orlando will only empower them. In fact, saying it’s a gay thing is probably pissing them off so they may have to hit a school just to get the attention they’re seeking.
If that happens the “machine” will report that it was an American citizen who was rejected by his girlfriend who happens to work at the school. See how easy it is to spin it?

An AK-47 is select fire, full auto. If you somehow got your hands on one you would need to be licensed to own one. Same with an M-16.
Additionally, the military version of the AR-15 that the news is crazy about, is also select fire.
The average citizen cannot own any of these weapons, but the news media believes we can walk into a gun show and purchase them without a background check.

The novelist Stephen Hunter wrote a book called Soft Target about an attack at a huge mall.
The hero was a retired Marine Sniper who managed to kill one of the terrorists and get his rifle.
The absolute zero was the police chief who believed in “Progressive Policing” and refused to take action in the hopes of opening a dialogue with the terrorists.
In the meantime, the hero picked them off one by one.

I went to the local mall last week for the first time in years. Checking Sports Authority going out of business sales.
I moved to my current location seven years ago. I think that was my third time darkening their door.
