Update: 52-year-old man arrested after Labour MP Jo Cox was shot in street outside her constituency surgery has been named as Tommy Mair. A brief public data history search reveals that Mair had psychological problems:
Thomas Mair, 46, started volunteering at the park after learning about the opportunity through the Mirfield-based Pathways Day Centre for adults with mental health problems. He said: "I can honestly say it has done me more good than all the psychotherapy and medication in the world. "Many people who suffer from mental illness are socially isolated and disconnected from society, feelings of worthlessness are also common mainly caused by long-term unemployment.
"All these problems are alleviated by doing voluntary work. Getting out of the house and meeting new people is a good thing, but more important in my view is doing physically demanding and useful labour.
"When you have finished there is a feeling of achievement which is emotionally rewarding and psychologically fulfilling.
"For people for whom full-time, paid employment is not possible for a variety of reasons, voluntary work offers a socially positive and therapeutic alternative."

Update: Responding to unconfirmed allegations the shooter shouted "Britain First!" before the incident, the group Britain First has said:

There is LOTS of use of words such as “apparently” and “allegedly”.
That hasn’t stopped the media publishing multiple articles condemning Britain First for somehow being involved.
Britain First obviously is NOT involved and would never encourage behaviour of this sort.
As an MP and and a mother, we pray that Jo Cox makes a full recovery.

Update: Here is a photo of Jo Cox' assailant getting arrested. As SkyNews adds, "West Yorkshire Police said a 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with the attack, which happened near the town's library. Witness Hichem Ben Abdallah said a man "was kicking her as she was lying on the floor." He said that after a bystander intervened, the attacker produced a gun, stepped back and shot her twice."

So. Some mentally ill guy who can’t even get a job somehow managed to get his hands on a gun in one of the most anti-gun countries in the world? I usually snicker at “False Flag” claims after any kind of dangerous event but not this time. This stinks.
It won’t matter whose side he was on or if he even was on a side. The media has their talking points.
Not to be unduly cynical, but I bet there’s a Jock Ruby on the way to the Old Bailey holding cells right now.

The potential for lawmakers to get shot is the real reason for gun control efforts - and for the 2nd amendment.
Both sides know they are doing things that voters don’t like. And both sides want to do more of that but keep upping the rhetoric against the other side to incite their voters to act (they’ll say to act by voting not by the 2nd but they know the potential).
Of course now it’s gospel that he shouted “Britain First”. Even if it’s a bunch of horse crap, as I suspect it is.

Three days before we were going to vote for or against Sweden joining the Euro in 2003, our foreign minister, another young woman, Anna Lindh, was stabbed to death. The campaign was suspended and we were treated to days of propaganda - how much Ms Lindh had wanted us to join the Euro, how much we owed her, etc. All really disgusting. The polls that had shown a NO victory since early March (this was in September) suddenly in some cases showed an even race. However, on the election day people still did not vote in the way our politicians wanted, and we kept or Swedish krona.
Some years later it was shown how wise the people had been.
I hope the British will show the same wisdom.

We need to know everything about this man and his connections.
