Catholic bishops are absolutely, 100% punctilious about issuing statements calling for the death penalty not to be used, no matter how heinous and perverted the crime. They somehow manage to overlook most of the appearances of pro-abortion politicians at Catholic colleges.
This kind of thing might make one look kindly on summary judgement in certain cases.
