House Speaker Paul Ryan talks to reporters at the Republican National Committee headquarters on Capitol Hill on June 14, 2016. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite) House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., issued a stern warning Thursday about the rhetoric coming from Donald Trump about the way government should work.

“We will lose our freedoms in this country, including all of the Bill of Rights, if we don’t robustly defend the separation of powers,” Ryan said at his weekly press conference inside the U.S. Capitol.

Ryan was asked by reporters numerous times about Trump’s recent conduct. Just this week, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee questioned whether President Obama actually wants to stop terrorist attacks, accused many American Muslims of sheltering terrorists and said he could act unilaterally as president to prevent any type or class of people from entering the country. Trump made the last claim despite the fact that Article I, Section 8, clause 4 of the Constitution entrusts Congress with the power to “establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.”

According to Ryan the “Separation of Powers” means Imam Obama gets to do whatever he wants and Congress let’s him. Obama has walked all over separation of powers by doing things that s/b done by Congress, like control the budget, issue overreaching executive orders, use the IRS to target conservative groups with no repurcussions, declare war w/out authorization, etc.

Ryan is a weasel and s/b cut from the GOP Convention or placed in a timeslot around lunchtime.

Ryan is not a conservative he is a corporatist. People like him are the main reason Conservatism does not work for Conservatives.

Nehlen needs enormous help and much more traction. The polls have Ryan vastly ahead in his primary race (more than 50 points). I don’t know anything about the internals in his district, but if there is a FReeper who does, please post any info. Can Ryan be beat in the primary or does he own the local electorate?

Ryan is going to be the anointed one when the NeverTrump jackholes try to contest the outcome of the primaries.

Agreed. What other motive could Romney’s running mate have.

Writing the above made me ill. Just reminded myself I actually voted for both.

Actually, voted against Obama. Blood pressure comes down a little.

Every day it appears more and more to me like selfish Paul Ryan is trying to derail Trump in order to set up a Ryan presidential run in 2020.

The tea party will never support Ryan so he can’t be president. I think his goal is to prevent a tea party candidate from being president.

That is exactly what he is doing. He prefers Hillary to win in 2016.

Trump needs to remove Ryan as the Republican convention chairman.

Trumps not even President and these trees are issuing warnings about what he MIGHT do, while for the past 7+ years they have sat on their hands and kept silent while Obama has been shredding both the Constitution and Bill of Rights with executive orders.

BUMP to your post. Well said.

How do we contact RINO Ryan with our thoughts about his arrogance?

Who in the Hell does Ryan thinks he’s kidding? He funded Obamas illegal amnesty. He never fights a thing that Obama does illegally. He has turned the House into the 1939 Reichstag.

I think we need a dialogue on Ryno’s own Wisconsin turf.

I think Trump should hold a rally in Wisconsin and answer point by point the criticism Paul Ryno has made of Trump policies.

Start with Cheap Labor brought on by open borders that the wall will close off.
Talk about the selling out of the American worker not doing anything to slap tariffs on goods coming from Mexico by American companies who move out of our country.

Talk about the drug problem the wall would cure. Ask why Ryan really hasn’t passed Kate’s law.

Talk about the congress funding Obamacare, instead of keeping their campaign promises to stop its funding and repeal it.

Ask Ryan why he only has Trump not Obama criticisms ?

Show RyanO two can play the same game, and remind him he could always do executive orders like Obama, but would expect Republicans to be working with the leader of their own party.

Tell the audience that depending on RyanO’s answer he may be back.
More Ryan BS Trump should endorse Paul Nehlen.

I have never seen a collection of snakes like the GOPe leadership.
