Gun shop owner talks AR-15 NY Daily News BY Seth Moulton SPECIAL TO THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Tuesday, June 14, 2016, 8:26 PM

I’m a Marine. I carried guns every day in Iraq, guns very similar to the ones used to perpetrate the Orlando murders and many other mass shootings in America. I’ve used guns in combat. On more than one occasion, guns have saved my life.

>>Actually, even police departments can’t have assault weapons without Federal permits. There is no exemption for them.

So, cops have real assault rifles? Like I said.

There’s no such thing as a former Marine.

Semper Fi! And thank you for your service (from an old Army guy).

Curtailing the 2nd Amendment is an open invitation to curtailing the 1st Amendment. Stupid leftist reporters seems to be oblivious to that fact.

First proposed curtailment: If a news reporter/agency/blogger/journalist publishes a demonstrable falsehood, they shall be jailed for not less than 90 days and fined not less than $(insert large number here) and banned from ever reporting or publishing again.

Let the Daily News suck on that for a while.

My AR15 is just another semi-auto rifle.

My M-1 carbine and Marlin Model 1936 are deadlier than your AR-15....so there!

“...none of us, really, are civilians at this point. Seems that we are [all] living on the front lines now.”

Well said, FRiend. Don’t forget that terrorists attacking civilians in Israel regard Jewish women and children as “reservists” and therefore legitimate targets.

The Obama/Hillary line of “turn in your guns and trust the Muslims” doesn’t work for many of us.

Check out the pics in the article. One shows the DIQ posing with his finger inside the trigger guard. Marine or not, I wouldn’t want him near me if he is armed, as he “knows assault rifles” but fails a Cub Scout level of gun safety knowledge.

The First Amendment recognizes and protects the individual’s right to speak on any subject.

The Third Amendment recognizes and protects the individual’s sanctity of home and prevents the government from seizing property for military purposes.

The Fourth Amendment recognizes and protects the individual against unreasonable searches and seizures.

The Fifth Amendment recognizes and protects the individual against self-incrimination and recognizes and protects the individual’s right to due process.

The Sixth Amendment recognizes and protects the individual’s right to a speedy and/or jury trial and the right to face his accusers.

The Seventh Amendment further protects the individual’s right to a jury trial.

The Eighth Amendment recognizes and protects the individual’s right against cruel and unusual punishment and excessive bails and fines.

The Ninth and Tenth Amendments recognize and protect all individual rights that have not been specifically mentioned or enumerated ie freedom is the default condition.

All of these Amendments are about one thing: the protection of individual rights and restrictions on government’s power to deny them temporarily or permanently.

And they’re going to tell us the Second Amendment is about the National Guard and Army?

I have no reason to own half the things I do own, but for my firearms I have a reason.

lol. We all "have reasons". Needs? Who's to judge my needs? I own a go-cart (that we built) for my kids. It's not a need. It goes pretty quick. It can be dangerous. When will the government say I don't need that? There is no "good" reason for it?

“99.9 % of US gun owners never killed anyone yesterday”

Add at least three 9s to that number, and you might be close to the truth.

I’m a Marine.

No, you're not. You're a congressman. And a demonicRat. And an oath breaker. You swore to protect and defend the Constitution as a Marine officer. You swore to support and defend the Constitution as a congressman. Now you want to infringe the right of the people to keep and bear arms. You have become the domestic enemy you swore to oppose.

You're not a Marine.

You're a scumbag. And a traitor.

You're beneath contempt.

Importing millions of radical muslims and illegals is okay though as long as we disarm law abiding Americans.

And, oh, Seth, mass shootings are not uniquely American.

Here’s my reason: I want one (or more). Since the right to keep and bear arms is a pre-political right - it pre-dates the very existence of this nation - it is not subject to regulation or abridgement by the government. In fact, there’s a rather well known provision in the Bill of Rights that is a REMINDER to everyone of this fact. Note that it isn’t a grant of rights, it is a SPECIFIC restriction on government action.

IOW, Moulton, GFY!

Molon Labe, you sonofabitch!

Like they say about abortion, if you don’t like assault weapons don’t get one.

Thirty years later and I STILL don’t get it. The relationship between my hand and my gun is MY business. There is nothing than can do to prevent me from doing whatever I desire. Punish me afterward or kill me during but on the whole we can not be individually stopped.

The relationship between my heart and head and my creator is something you can not do a damn thing about. You can try to interfere or punish me for holding whatever belief I hold but you can not stop me.

This is why they are referred to AS LIBERTIES. Not Rights. Yet even here we are confronted by someone who has worn the uniform and served who STILL DOES NOT GET IT.

So why are we still having these morons make these statements? I suppose because they believe they are speaking to morons, which undoubtedly they are.
