> Understand the systems that oppress people.

My son knows that the government and a ruling class hopelessly intertwined, hate American culture and are terribly afraid of Americans. And way too powerful.

>Know the role the world will give you based on your race and class.

My son belongs to the only race where hate speech against him is approved of and discrimination against him is institutionalized. He understands that.

> Understand the power and legacy that people and institutions have. See how it affects people.

Yup. Our institutions are designed to create a mindless, dependent class of people ruled by a small group of insiders. My son sees how it affects people every day.

> Question everything and everyone. Be filled with an avid curiosity at how the world can be so beautiful and so tragic.

Simple. God created the universe. It is beautiful. Adam brought sin into the world. It is tragic.

> Have an appreciation and respect for different cultures.

I do as long as they make their own money, mind their own business, and don’t shoot or rob members of my culture or a regular basis.

> Learn the difference between appreciation and appropriation.

Well, it makes for good jokes.

> Learn the beautiful history of those who have fought for freedom and justice.

Yes. My son has learned all learn about Washington, Madison, Jefferson et al.

So does that make my boy a social justice warrior?

Great post!

And I would suggest to the SJWs that if you want to change the world’s perception of the group you belong to that you make a positive contribution and lose the entitlement attitude and the victim mindset. How? Get a job, get off welfare, stop blowing things up, and get an education in a useful field and learn some useful skills. (Hint: gender studies, ethnic studies, and other grievance industries are not useful fields. Instead, learn how to program a computer or repair a car.) Learn to argue with facts and logic. Learning how to be polite would also be a big plus.
