The Dalai Lama was forced to answer some difficult questions during his trip to the US - about everything from terrorism in the wake of the Orlando nightclub shooting to the vocal criticism of President Obama by the Chinese after he hosted the Tibetan spiritual leader in the White House.
But none of those questions gave his holiness as much trouble as Fox News host Bret Baier asking him during an interview on Wednesday if he had ever seen the film Caddyshack.
Baier and his guest had been having a discussion about terrorism and the Muslim faith when the political anchor decided to lighten the mood by asking: 'Last thing, have you ever seen the movie Caddyshack?'

Visibly confused, the Dalai Lama responded to this by saying: 'What?' Baier tried again, saying: 'Caddyshack the movie.'
The Dalai Lama seemed to give up at that point and said: 'I don’t know.'
A persistent Baier tried one final time though, saying: 'The part about the Dalai Lama.'
Things only got more awkward from there when Baier decided to ask a few more follow-up questions about sports and a film that the spiritual leader has never seen in his life.
'Have you ever played golf?' asked Baier. 'No,' said the Dalai Lama.
'You’re not a big hitter?' asked Baier, in his fourth reference to Caddyshack.
'In badminton,' said the Dalai Lama, who then began to swing an invisible racket above his head.
'But not golf?' asked Baier, again.
'No,' said the Dalai Lama, again.

The Dalai Lama is nothing more than a two bit hustler with a good press agent.
Bret Baier is another one of the low-browed (literally!) media types who has helped destroy my beautiful country.
At one point I had some respect for him. That amount dropped to zero at the first republican debate last fall, but this persistent asking the Dalai Lama about a stupid movie drops my respect level of Bret down to -20.
“Mr. Lama, Which Character on the show Friends best represents you?”

Baier is indeed an idiot.
A friend of mine is friends with the Dalai Lama... they get together whenever he's in L.A. (she usually arranges for him and his entourage to say a Fred Siegal's mansion in the Marina area.. and he moves out to his Malibu weekend place). He sounds like a pretty cool guy actually. She constantly tried to bring him to my MIL's house, but my MIL always said "I don't allow religous nuts in my house".
