Trump campaign has only $1.3 million in cash, to Clinton's $42.5 million
Politico ^ | 6/21/16 | Thoeodoric Meyer

Donald Trump's campaign started the month with a paltry $1.3 million in cash — a mere fraction of Hillary Clinton's $42.5 million war chest — putting the GOP frontrunner at a sharp disadvantage heading into the general election against Clinton's money machine. … And it's not just money — the filings revealed a campaign staff of less than 70, a number was dwarfed by Clinton's nearly 700 paid employees, and few of the campaign's expenses suggested work had begun to build out a more robust operation. All together, it's the most lopsided fundraising start to a presidential election in the modern campaign finance era."

I think it’s just another indication that he has no clue how to run a campaign. Sure the cult of personality and feeding the voter anger might be enough to win. But that’s not something that you should bet on.

Why wait for the call? I wonder what agreement he has with the RNC, seems a waste- I just donate to his web-site. Don’t understand why he doesn’t put out the word to DONATE!

Fraud control from my bank called yesterday, they were freezing some charges on my card.

There’s a $25 dollar charge to ‘Donald Trump for President’ Yup.

‘Well, what about the charge on the 14th?’ That was his birthday, it was a birthday present!

‘So these are authorized charges ?’ Yes, what’s the issue?

‘Just verifying the charges’

OK, thank you for looking out for me.

I’ll probably get audited by the IRS again.

Trump can take $500 million of his own in seconds

You really think that?

Trump has brick and mortar assets not an abundance of cash...

Certainly not $500 million cash...

Secondly, he shouldn't have to self fund his general campaign...

Well Trump is doomed again. I was surprised to see that Hillary was so short of cash. She has to do better than that. It would be interesting to know where this money is coming from. It’s probably from West Virginia coal miners. Trump is doing well in spite of the “Never Trump” democrat moles in the Republican Party. Paul “Omnibus budget” Ryan has threatened to sue him if he oversteps his authority. So far Paul has not sued Obama. Trump is an experienced negotiator. There are strategic times in a negotiation when you drop bombshells. Now is not the time. Hillary Clinton has some serious psychological problems. She may not survive a debate with someone who does not pull punches.

B.S!!! He has more money than she’ll ever have...

He isn’t worried about the RNC money, he doesn’t want it, that’s for those jackasses like RINO RYAN to get re elected...

Trump has his money, a lot of it has been donated by his billions of supporters, yes I said BILLIONS...shocking isn’t it that he would have that many people and the thing is, until the FEC financials come out, nobody knows how much money these BILLIONS of supporters have been donating to his site...HIS site, not the RNC!!!

Money isn’t going to be everything this year. However, if Trump is going to beat the margin of fraud from the democrats, he IS going to have to get something going on the ground. I suspect he’ll really start to do that after the convention.

Agree. The MSM and Hillys team want an old fashioned campaign, and The Donald won’t give them that. Sure he will firm up some of his speeches etc, but it will still be blistering.

So with 1/10th the number of people, and 3% of the finances, Donald Trump is holding even with Hillary!. That right there speaks volumes about how he understands the game and knows how to run efficiently.

Imagine what will happen once he starts pressuring for money, bringing in 10, or 20 million. Hillary! will have to raise ten times the funds as Trump just to try to tread water. Good luck with that!

Same old tripe: Hillary is inevitable, Trump is facing a revolt at the convention. Trump has no money. All is lost.

Rush used to say the media chooses the GOP’s candidate in the primaries. Forget that, they are picking our President. The neo-aristocracy is picking the President despite the country burning down. They are doing it with a brainless mob of free stuff collectors who are controlled by a media that can convince them the oceans are filled with milk and the sky is pink. Orwell could not have dreamed up this shit.

There are no more elections. This is mob rule, plain and simple. Facts no longer matter. Reality no longer matters.

Okey Dokey...

I'm sure his financial backers who he borrowed money from to buy or build his building might disagree...

I know nothing of Trumps financial setups, but I do know how buying or building a hard asset works...

I wish you were correct...

Agree. The MSM / Dems want a traditional campaign/back and forth.

The Donald doesn’t play that way and shouldn’t. He will get specific when the time is right, and will nuke Hilly when she has fired her best shots....

He is unlike the former “ nice guys” Johnny M and Mittens...

NeverTrumpers are just using stories like this to push the narrative to the delegates that they should switch their nominating vote to someone other than Trump...

The problem is, they cannot. Delegates - even superdelegates - in the GOP cannot change their bound votes on the first vote (and many, on the 2nd and 3rd votes if it goes beyond 1). Unlike the Democrat party where the deciding factor IS the superdelegate bloc that can change their mind at a whim. The GOP superdelegates must vote as per the popular vote of their State, on the first vote. After that, they're free - but they have to vote a specific way first.

Trump has it sewn up short of the GOP rewriting the rules of the convention right now - and they KNOW that would be suicide for anyone involved. Trump has it sealed, locked.

On the other side, neither Hillary! or Bernie have enough pledged delegates to win. It WILL BE the superdelegates who decide who is the nomination. If the superdelegates make a break for Bernie, then he wins. If they stay with Hillary! then she wins. Simple as that. The people have spoken - and the DNC equivalent of the Politburo will make the actual decision how they desire.
